Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Giri Srinivasan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Giri, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have an agent or someone (or a team) that helps you secure opportunities and compensation for your creative work? How did you meet you, why did you decide to work with them, why do you think they decided to work with you?
Yes! I just signed with my first agency—Eris Talent Agency—for print and commercials in March 2025, and I’m really excited to see where this journey takes me. Over the past couple of years, especially with the strikes and how unpredictable the industry has been in L.A., things were a bit slow. So I took that time to work on myself—creatively, physically, and emotionally—to be fully ready when the right opportunity came along.
Earlier this year, I actively reached out to several agencies and ended up having over 10 meetings in just one week. But the moment I connected with Eris (TW), there was this undeniable sense of alignment. The vibe and my gut instinct told me this was the one. Honestly, I was at a major crossroads in my life, even considering leaving America, but signing with Eris felt like the universe giving me a clear sign to stay and keep pushing forward.
I’m so grateful they saw something in me and decided to take a chance. I truly believe this is just the beginning, and I’m hopeful that, beyond bookings, they’ll also help me bring some of my creative projects to life in the future.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always wanted to be an actor—but I never imagined my journey would lead me to Los Angeles. Growing up, my dream was to act in Tamil films. But over time, life had other plans. While I did gain a lot from formal education, it was really by living in Los Angeles and surrounding myself with passionate, creative people that I truly began to understand the art and soul of cinema. The energy here, the hustle, the constant drive to create—it taught me so much more than I ever expected.
I’ve now been in LA for several years, and only recently did I stop to realize just how much I’ve poured into this dream—how many things I’ve let go of back home, without even knowing it, just to stay on this path. But I’ve also grown, adapted, and found a version of myself here that I never knew existed. Some of my American friends say I’m “living the dream,” and in a way, I guess I am.
Today, I proudly wear many hats. I’m an actor, dancer, singer, beatboxer, content creator, and filmmaker. I shoot and edit my own videos, write scripts, and continue to push the boundaries of my creative expression. What sets me apart is that I don’t box myself into one category—I believe in being a complete artist, one who’s constantly evolving.
I recently completed my first feature film script, and I’m now working on developing a new cinematic concept that blends my love for storytelling with my multicultural background. I also run a successful photo booth company that brings high-end, customized experiences to events around LA—another creative outlet that brings people joy.
What I’m most proud of is that I never gave up—even when things got hard. I kept creating, kept learning, and kept showing up. If there’s one thing I want people to know about me, it’s this: I’m here to tell stories that connect people—whether through a screen, a stage, or a beatbox mic. I’m building a bridge between cultures, between industries, and between dreams and reality.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Right now, the most rewarding part of being an artist and creative is that I truly get to live the life I want—almost for free in a way—because everything I do is tied to my passions. Whether it’s acting, dancing, writing, or creating content, I’m constantly surrounded by the things I love. I have the freedom to express myself fully, to explore, to experiment, and to take creative risks that not everyone gets to take in their lifetime—all in the name of cinema and creation.
What excites me most is that I’m always doing something new. I get to experience moments, places, and people that others may never encounter—all because I’m chasing stories. Films are magical, even though the process itself might seem repetitive or exhausting to non-filmmakers. But to me, every take, every scene, every setback is a learning opportunity. I never see it as wasted effort—it’s all growth.
It’s not about the money, at least not yet. For me, it’s about the journey, the freedom, and the joy of constant learning. And if I continue to stay true to the craft, I trust the rewards—both creative and financial—will follow.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that I needed to take in and hold onto every piece of information or advice that came my way. Sometimes, especially in a city like Los Angeles, there’s so much noise—so many opinions, trends, comparisons, and expectations—that it starts to feed on you. And not all of it is helpful. Some things are better left unlearned.
I had to realize that just because I can do something doesn’t mean I should. There were paths I explored and skills I picked up that, while valuable, didn’t align with who I truly am at the core. And that’s okay. I can still do them—but deep down, I know they’re not meant for me. That kind of clarity takes time, and the strength to let go of what doesn’t serve you is something I’ve learned the hard way.
Even now, I have opportunities that might offer more stability or predictability, but I’m consciously choosing a different route. I’m not just looking for success—I’m looking for fulfillment, and that means staying aligned with what speaks to my heart and soul.
