We were lucky to catch up with Gina Caracci recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Gina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was starting my podcast, Mindset, Health, Empowerment: The Unfiltered Trainer. Not because of the logistics, but because of what it required emotionally. It meant choosing to be fully seen.
In my very first episode, I opened up about my mental health battle. I shared the struggles I had carried privately for years, the moments where I felt lost, broken, and unsure of who I was becoming. I knew once I released it, there was no taking it back. People would see me differently. And I didn’t know how it would be received.
Still, I kept showing up. Every week, I shared stories of hardship, heartbreak, growth, and the lessons that shaped me. I spoke about stigmatized topics people often avoid, without knowing who would listen, support it, or judge it. There were moments I questioned myself, moments where support wasn’t always there, but I continued because I knew this was bigger than me.
What I didn’t expect was how many people would reach out and say, “I thought I was the only one.” When I started to see the impact, reaching hundreds of cities and then globally reaching over 70 countries…That’s when I realized this wasn’t just a podcast. It was a platform for connection, healing, and truth.
Taking that risk changed my life. It taught me that the greatest risk isn’t failure, it’s staying silent. When you have the courage to share your story, you don’t just change your own life. You give others permission to believe they can change theirs too.

Gina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m originally from Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and my journey into this industry didn’t start with entrepreneurship. It started in healthcare. I began working in physical therapy the summer after I graduated high school, and that experience shaped the trajectory of my early career. I went on to pursue healthcare professionally the last 20 spent years working in various settings, including as a traveling therapist. That chapter of my life exposed me to so many different people, environments, and perspectives, and it was during that time that I also became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
What started as an extension of my passion quickly evolved into something much bigger. I launched my first business, GinaMarieFit, LLC, where I coached thousands of clients both online and in person. But my work was never just about workouts or macros. I was always drawn to storytelling, to sharing the deeper layers of transformation, the mental, emotional, and personal growth that happens when someone decides to change their life. Through that process, I realized I had dreams that extended far beyond the traditional 9 to 5 path.
After moving to Tampa five years ago, I fully immersed myself in entrepreneurship, leadership, and the local small business community. I began expanding my personal brand and stepped into content creation, building a UGC and creative business where I partnered with brands and helped bring their stories to life. Connecting with other entrepreneurs and founders reinforced something I already felt internally: this unconventional path was exactly where I was meant to be. It gave me the freedom to create, lead, and build something meaningful.
At the same time, I saw a gap between wellness and community impact. I believed wellness could be a vehicle not just for personal transformation, but for collective change. That belief led me to launch Sweating Together For A Cause, a charity wellness collaboration organization that paired fitness instructors with charitable organizations to raise awareness, support, and funding. What began as local events across Tampa evolved into something much greater. Today, it has expanded into IMPACT Society, a platform that combines community events, partnerships, and an online wellness and personal growth community designed to empower others to grow while giving back.
Two years ago, I took another leap and launched my podcast, Mindset, Health, Empowerment: The Unfiltered Trainer. That decision required me to be vulnerable in ways I never had before. I shared my personal experiences, struggles, and lessons openly, addressing topics that many people avoid. The podcast became more than a platform. It became a mission to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered to rewrite their own stories. It’s now reached over 75 countries, 700 cities and over 135,000 downloads.
A year ago, I self published my first book, The Badass Blueprint. This book is a reflection of everything I’ve learned through my own journey of rebuilding, evolving, and stepping into my purpose. It provides a direct, actionable roadmap to help others break through self doubt, build confidence, create sustainable habits, and pursue their goals without burning out. It’s not just about success. It’s about becoming resilient, disciplined, and aligned with who you are meant to be.
Today, my work spans multiple areas, including content creation and UGC partnerships, community event collaboration, brand partnerships, speaking engagements, mentorship and physical therapy. At the core of everything I do is storytelling and impact. I help brands connect with their audiences authentically, help communities come together through meaningful events, and help individuals realize they are capable of far more than they believe.
What sets me apart is that my brand was never built from perfection. It was built from failure, grief, setbacks, and resilience. After sustaining a traumatic brain injury in a car accident, I spent a year and a half in rehabilitation, forced to rebuild not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. There were many moments where my plans were derailed, where I could have given up. But those experiences shaped me. They gave me perspective, strength, and clarity about my purpose. It was in those moments being given a second chance at life, that I consciously chose to stop playing small.
I’m most proud of the fact that I never stopped evolving. Every setback became fuel. Every loss became motivation to create something meaningful. My brand isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about truth, resilience, and impact. It’s about showing others that no matter where you start, what you’ve been through, or how many times life forces you to rebuild, you still have the power to create a life that matters.
My mission is simple: to help others see what’s possible when they stop playing small, step into their truth, and choose to build a life on their own terms.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What helped me build my reputation within my market was consistency, integrity, and leading with contribution before expectation. Long before I fully pursued my own ventures, I was actively working in wellness, creating content, and showing up for the community I had chosen to move to by teaching free classes. I made a conscious decision to be present, not just for visibility, but to genuinely support others.
I attended events regularly, volunteered my time, helped set up, filmed content for other businesses, collaborated with founders, and supported community initiatives however I could. I wasn’t focused on what I could gain. I was focused on being someone who added value. Over time, my face became familiar because I was consistently showing up and actively contributing.
People came to know me as someone who worked hard, who followed through, and who truly cared about the success of others. I always made time for conversations, brainstorming sessions, or helping someone bring their vision to life. Whether it was assisting with events, supporting launches, or simply being present, I led from a place of service.
That foundation built trust. And trust is what builds reputation.
When I eventually launched my own ventures and my podcast, the support I received wasn’t something I asked for. It was something that naturally grew from the relationships I had nurtured over time. People supported me because they had seen my work ethic, my consistency, and my commitment to the community.
I’ve always believed that reputation isn’t built by what you say. It’s built by how you show up. By doing the work. By supporting others. And by staying true to your values even when no one is watching.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the greatest tests of my resilience came after I was involved in a car accident that left me with a traumatic brain injury. At first, even with my background in healthcare, I didn’t fully understand the magnitude of what I was facing. I knew something wasn’t right, but it was difficult to articulate. I wasn’t myself anymore, and that reality was incredibly isolating. People couldn’t always see the injury, and because of that, they didn’t always understand it.
It became one of the darkest periods of my life. I disappeared from the world I had built. I stopped showing up. I was left alone with my thoughts, my pain, and the uncertainty of what my future would look like. For over a year and a half, I underwent intensive treatment and rehabilitation. There were days where even the most basic tasks felt overwhelming. I had to relearn patience, relearn trust in myself, and accept that healing wasn’t linear.
But in that stillness, something shifted.
That downtime forced me into deep self reflection. It stripped away the distractions and forced me to confront who I was, who I wanted to become, and what truly mattered. It was during that time that I wrote my book, The Badass Blueprint, and made the decision to fully pursue my podcast. What once felt like being stopped became redirection.
I had to pivot everything. Pause my events. Reevaluate my business. Rebuild not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. It took time to understand why I was given a second chance when doctors told me there were things I shouldn’t have been able to overcome. But instead of questioning it, I chose to honor it and become someone worthy of a second chance.
I committed to becoming stronger, more intentional, and more aligned with my purpose. I stopped focusing on what I had lost and started focusing on what I could build.
Resilience, to me, isn’t about avoiding hardship. It’s about who you choose to become because of it. That experience didn’t break me. It rebuilt me. It gave me clarity, purpose, and a deeper commitment to making an impact, not just through wellness, but through truth, leadership, and helping others realize they are capable of overcoming more than they ever thought possible.
Sometimes the wall placed in front of you isn’t there to stop you. It’s there to redirect you toward who you were always meant to become.
