Gerson, appreciate you joining us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as a REALTOR® came recently when I helped a couple purchase their very first home—something they thought might never happen for them.
Like many first-time buyers, they were nervous. The market felt impossible, they had doubts about what they could afford, and they weren’t sure if now was the right time. As most do. What they needed wasn’t just a real estate agent—they needed a guide they could trust to support them. So we started with the basics: finding them a lender they felt comfortable with, someone who would treat them like people—not just paperwork.
Once they got preapproved, we focused on what really mattered. While the original “dream neighborhood” was out of reach, they realized that getting into the market—building equity now—was the key to getting closer to that dream down the line. We found a great alternative that gave them even more square footage and room to grow.
When the right property came up, we moved fast! We got the offer accepted, contingencies removed, and all paperwork handled within a tight 30-day escrow. No drama. Just clear communication, collaboration, and a shared goal.
But what meant the most to me was seeing how supported they felt the whole way through. I made sure they never felt like they were doing this alone. And at closing, when they picked up the keys, it hit them: “We actually own a home. We did it.!
That moment? That’s why I do what I do!!
To me, real estate isn’t just about selling houses—it’s about giving people confidence in what’s possible, even when it feels out of reach. Everyone deserves to have someone in their corner who actually gives a damn!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My very first listing pitch didn’t pan out—and I still remember it clearly.
I had a potential client who was considering selling their home, someone I had known for a long time. I came to the meeting having made sure to meet all of the seller’s wishes. I put together a thoughtful strategy, gave honest insight, and laid out a pricing plan that I believed was grounded in the market—not in wishful thinking.
But here’s the thing: they didn’t choose me.
To this day, I don’t know exactly why. And yeah, that stung. I had history with this person, I knew I could deliver, and I saw the value I could bring. But I’m also a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. So I let it go and reminded myself: that sale wasn’t meant for me.
Shortly after, I met new clients—ones who did appreciate my process, who wanted a strategic partner, not a yes-man. That deal went beautifully, and it reminded me that the right clients will find you if you stay true to your values.
Ironically, I later found out that the first seller chose a different agent—the one who told them what they wanted to hear. The home was priced too high, and it ultimately sold for less than what an investor I had already lined up was willing to pay. Ouch!
Now, did I earn a commission from that? No. But what I gained was something more valuable: clarity on the kind of agent I want to be. I don’t spin webs. I don’t play games. I tell my clients the truth—even when it’s not easy—because that’s how you build long-term trust.
Every business has facts, and not everyone wants to hear them. But it’s our job as professionals to share them anyway. Because the clients who value that truth? They’re the ones worth building your business around.

Have you ever had to pivot?
A pivotal moment in my life wasn’t just about changing jobs—it was about redefining my future.
I was raised by hardworking parents who owned and operated a small café-deli-market in Newport Beach. Growing up, I was always around their business. By high school, I was working there officially. Through college, I took on more responsibilities, juggling other part-time jobs while helping run the family operation. Then, after graduating, I worked full-time alongside them—right up through the chaos of COVID.
But after the pandemic, something shifted. I realized I needed to step into something that was fully mine.
I left the family business without a detailed plan. Gave it a few days. Then I enrolled in real estate school!
Around the same time, I randomly applied for a leasing agent position at a property that held deep roots for me—Park Newport, where my parents had run their business for decades. I didn’t expect much; the property was supposedly up for sale. But the stars aligned: I got the job right after finishing real estate school.
It was a dream role for me and a perfect stepping stone. I dove in, absorbed everything, and quickly climbed the ranks to become Closing Accounts Manager, handling collections and move-outs. Ironically, I was offered that promotion the day after I officially received my real estate license! When the property was finally sold and taken over by a large corporation, they offered me a new role: one of the Managing Bookkeepers in the Administrative Office. I accepted—and held that position for six months.
But deep down, I knew my true calling wasn’t behind someone else’s desk. I had started building my real estate business, and I knew it was time to go all in.
So I resigned from the corporate role and stepped fully into what I created: GERSON SEISE REALTY – Real Brokerage Technologies. Today, I’m proud to say I’m running my own business, just like my parents did—but in my own way, in my own industry, and on my own terms!!
The pivot wasn’t easy. It came with risk, doubt, and a ton of growth! But it’s been the most rewarding decision I’ve ever made!!!
