We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Georgann Bunny Low a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Georgann Bunny, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I’ve never been hamstrung by a desire for security. As a result, my life has been a journey toward ever deeper expression of my own truth through art, writing, music and now teaching. I frankly have never cared a lot about money. Oh well, to be utterly truthful i love having money, but have never gone out of my way to get hold of it. I do, however, get out of my own way in order to communicate with people because I love people. Oh ! Not everyone, but I like to give them a smile and a chuckle whenever possible. That’s because I’ve found so much joy in just being alive.
So, money flows through my hands like energy flows through my heart As breath comes in and then flows out.
My sense of self has also been fluid which made for many identity crises. I’m used to it by now. Changing woman, that’s me. I don’t feel stuck but stay open and rather flexible, bending like a tree listening to the wind. I listened to my own voice calling me rather than society’s commands to do this or that–which early on I considered to be bullshit!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I can’t relate to the word business. My life is my work. It’s a flow of my creativity through various channels and years.i sold a lot of art so i suppose that could be considered business. Performed jazz with a lot of cool cats for audiences who often paid well. Started doing yoga in my 20’s and began meditating before I turned 30. So here I am giving heart and soul to teaching elders and others Self-awareness through movement. I call it “Making Friends With Silence. Basically it is to do with loving oneself.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Haha! I was actually a millionaire once through inheritance. So I bought a small 300-yr old farmhouse in rural France in a hamlet where folks spoke only French. I absolutely had to speak the language—which was why I went there in the first place. I was lonely having just been divorced and flummoxed by the French culture. Ah! But I adored it. So I wholeheartedly threw myself into the experience. During the 15 yrs I owned the house–living part time in Denver– I sang with a jazz trio singing in both French and English mostly in Paris night clubs as well as local chateaus and festivals. In my little stone house high on a hill, I gardened,
wrote, created art and had marvelous meals (and even political discussions) with my wonderful neighbors.
So, I pretty much spent my time and my money living life to the fullest. So very glad about that!
Now I live simply with an abundance of beauty and love.
Was that good business???
