We were lucky to catch up with Fvmous Will recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Fvmous, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Launching a clothing line involves taking calculated risks to achieve success in a competitive industry. From designing unique garments to investing in production and marketing, every decision carries an element of uncertainty. Taking risks might mean experimenting with bold designs, entering new markets, or collaborating with influencers which I sometime I plan on doing with my new upcoming collection “FameXVI: Diamond couture”. While there’s the possibility of setbacks, such as inventory surplus or lackluster sales, strategic risk-taking can lead to brand differentiation, increased visibility, and loyal customer bases. By staying attuned to market trends, consumer preferences, and feedback, any brand can navigate risks effectively, paving the way for sustainable growth and long-term success in the fashion industry.

Fvmous, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My business, FameXVI, is a luxury fashion line that I’m immensely proud of. What sets us apart is our commitment to authenticity and staying on-trend. My goal in starting this venture was to instill confidence and empowerment in people through our apparel.
I’ve faced numerous challenges along the way, from rejections in modeling auditions to initial struggles with sales when starting the clothing line. Despite the discouragement, I persisted and kept pushing forward. Now, I’m proud to see my brand featured in magazines and experiencing sell-outs with each collection drop—a true blessing.
Through these experiences, I’ve learned that every failure is a chance to learn and improve. Whether refining my marketing strategies, perfecting poses and runway walks, or creating compelling content, each setback fueled my growth.
What I want the world to know about FameXVI is that we are dedicated to creating apparel that empowers and boosts confidence in everyone. Even in my work showcasing other designers’ apparel, I strive to exude confidence and inspire others to feel the same way when wearing our pieces.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building a following of over 60 thousand followers by showcasing my fashion style on social media is a significant achievement for me. Although I took a long absence from social media for a while, I’m truly grateful for the one who stuck around and waited for me to make my comeback.
Through my posts, I’ve effectively connected with a diverse audience who appreciates my sense of style and finds inspiration in my fashion choices. This engagement not only fosters a loyal following but also opens doors for collaborations, partnerships, and opportunities to further expanding my brand’s reach and impact in the fashion industry. I have some exciting collaborations coming this year that I can’t speak on at the moment but I super excited to share with my followers and I know they’re going to love it.
My advice for those looking to build a social media presence is to embrace your authentic self. It’s a lesson I had to learn, and once I started being genuine, I noticed that people resonated more with me and felt a stronger connection. When you stay true to who you are, you’ll find that your audience will love and relate to you more, leading to a more engaged and loyal following.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Several key factors have contributed to building my reputation within the fashion market. Firstly, authenticity has played a crucial role. By staying true to myself and my brand’s values, I’ve been able to connect with my audience on a deeper level, fostering trust and loyalty. Additionally, staying on-trend and continuously innovating my designs have kept my brand relevant and appealing to fashion enthusiasts.
Moreover, overcoming challenges and learning from failures have been instrumental in my journey. Each setback served as a learning opportunity, pushing me to refine my strategies, improve my offerings, and grow as a business owner.
