We recently connected with Freed and have shared our conversation below.
Freed, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Once upon a time in Miami, I once ran down six flights of stairs, ran a mile through several crowded, and busy streets, did wind sprints through the ocean, and then ran back and forth sprints on the beach-all while tied and tethered to 6 people!
I took a big risk going out to Miami. At the time, I’d somehow ended up as finalist on one of Grant Cardones internet TV shows.
I remember reading a book of his, The 10x Rule, and thinking to myself, “I got to get around this guy and pitch some of my cartoons to him, perfect fit!” The first thing I did was put a pitch together, then I ended up calling one of his shows for one of his segments where there would be a “Pitch competition”. Trying to get through on that show was like calling a radio station contest to win tickets to a major concert-very rare chance to get through. I did get through however, on the very first try! Once I got through, I delivered one of the smoothest pitches ever, and I won the segment!
Over time, I ended up getting an opportunity to go to Miami and compete on one of his shows for the opportunity to work with Grant Cardone (which I did). Getting on a TV competition was not my thing, not my intention at all. But I was willing to go out and take a risk, because I knew it’d increase people’s awareness about my talent and my value, and it was an opportunity to do something that would put me way out of my comfort zone.
Looking back, I have no regrets taking that risk because I accomplished my mission. In the process, I was able to add a story to my journey that will help to enhance my own personal brand.
To put this experience and the concept of taking risks overall into a 6 word sentence, it’d be:
He took a risk, received rewards.
Best,
Freed

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m living my absolute dream as a dad. Having 2 young sons keeps me young and fresh! They are my priority, and the foundation of my purpose to create to the highest of my potential.
Creating art is something I’ve done since the age of 2 years old! I specialize in character design and animation. I’ve recently been a featured illustrator and collaborator with the Arizona Cardinals.
Recently, I started a show called The Art of Being Freed, which focuses on building positive mindsets through motivation, art, and inspiration.
People close to me have asked me to make videos for quite some time. It took me years to put myself out there officially, and I’m proud of myself for doing it. It’s truly never too late, especially if your values are aligned with helping others first.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
When it comes to being an artist, specifically creating art, I thrive in the idea that creating brings a spirit of life and harmony into my environment. Even if it’s just a doodle, it’s something that didn’t exist before, that I made! To create is therapy in a way, it’s most definitely life.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I had a really good conversation with my wife about NFTs, and my big takeaway on them is how I feel about art and beauty in general. The value of one thing is subjective, therefore we should not judge if someone wants to spend whatever they feel is necessary for something they find absolute value in. Personally, as a practicing coder/developer with skills in python and machine learning, my contribution will be toward the creative/arts side of NFTs. It’s something to get serious about if you get into it. NFTs should not be viewed as a “Quick come up”.
