We were lucky to catch up with Falisha Benson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Falisha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?

My mother named my business

Goodies for the treats Jell is short for jellybean. Jellybean was a nickname from I was younger.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

My name is Falisha Benson , I’m 36 years old and I’m a boy mom of 2 :) Kaden is 13 and Kiason is 2 years old . The name of my business is Goodies By Jell. Goodies By Jell is a home-based dessert business that started in 2013. We’re located in League City Texas. I started this business because I lost my job due to my son Kaden being sick. Goodies By Jell provides a variety of custom desserts, We also teach what we do , We offer 101 sessions and prerecorded online tutorials. We retail our dessert supplies on Goodiesbyjell.com and ship them weekly to dessert makers around the world.

What sets us apart from others is passion . I absolutely adore what I do. I serve quality and I’m very particular about presentation. All of our items are made to order which means everything is super fresh.

What I’m most proud of is my strength. I’ve come along ways in 9 years . To be able to work for yourself is a blessing especially in these times . I have a pretty good clientele cooperate and non . Word of mouth is everything . I’m very grateful for it . Potential clients, followers and fans should know that I work hard and I take pride in all that I do.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Serving quality desserts & word of mouth has been the most effective strategy for Goodies By Jell . We take pride in our products used . A satisfied customer will always come back and a satisfied customer will always tell someone about you. My customers are amazing! I appreciate them all.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

The passion I have be behind my business , my customer service , the quality of my desserts & my ocd for presentation has built my reputation wonderfully.
