We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fabiola Mistelske a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Fabiola, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about your team building process? How did you recruit and train your team and knowing what you know now would you have done anything differently?

I have a Team of 5 talented artists! At the beginning of my journey as a business owner and entrepreneur, I was by myself, I knew since the beginning I wanted to be able to generate jobs and a healthy welcoming atmosphere for my team! as well as to bring more volume of clients into my business and grow. And because of that I have attracted the most wonderful hairstylists and makeup artists I could have asked for, I am so thankful for Sharlenia, Aneishca, Lu, Zulger and Cristel for joining me in this amazing journey!

Fabiola, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am a license Cosmetologist, graduated from Aveda Institute back in 2017, I also joined Joe Blasco Makeup Training Center after graduation to learned more about makeup, I graduated 6 months after that with a Diploma in Professional Makeup Artistry, while I was in school, I had the privilege to work on two of my most beautiful clients for their weddings and I absolutely fell in love with it! I knew right then that’s what I wanted to do. The beauty industry has been always very present my entire life, since a very young age, I always loved makeup, hair and really everting related to beauty! After working on those two weddings, I started perfecting my artistry, I only focused on learning everything about bridal beauty, I was trained by celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren D’Amelio-Ventre & Master Educator Nicola Johnson. and finally on January 1st, 2022, is when Fabiola Mistelske Beauty was born! I wanted to only serve brides and to build a team and grow my business and so far, this journey has been a dream come true! I still have a long way to go, I like to look back and check on my progress and see how much I have accomplished in such a short period of time!

One of the things I am very particular about when it comes to our clients and my business is communication & attention to details, it is very important to me about the experience we provide to our clients and being able to personalize and customize the looks for each bride. “Because Beauty is in the Details” FM

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

My relationship with money, yes, I didn’t understand it at first, I had no idea how toxic my relationship with money was! lack and limitation were my friends, ruled my life for years, up until I decided to take control over my life is when things started to unfold right before my eyes! People started showing up teaching me lessons that really changed the course of my life and my perception. Making “a committed decision” really changed the trajectory of my future, and I encourage you to do the same!!!!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I developed a strong personal brand; everything starts how you market yourself on the social media platforms, but you have to have a plan! I hired the most amazing bridal business coach I could’ve ask for! Brianna Michelle! I owe my business and success to this lady! We all need help. period., especially when you are starting a business! My advice to you, is, find a mentor, a coach, learn from somebody who has done, do your research, be coachable and follow instructions! You have to have all of the above to unlock the key to your own personal success.
