We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Erica Korman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Erica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
My mother died when I was 17 but I remember one of our last conversations being about how she would support me in whoever I was and what I wanted to be in life. She was supportive of me just being me. After she passed, I went on to get masters degree and become a psychotherapist and my father thought that was great and was really proud of me. Years later when I discovered my gifts as a psychic/medium and energy healer (this felt like magic and I knew it was my real passion and purpose in life). I was so nervous to tell him or anyone for that matter. My dd and I were sititng in a restaurant in Miami and I told him I “speak to dead people” and its my career now! He looked at me like i was insane, my heart was beating so fast and in In his thick brookylm accent he said “you do what???” and i was so nervous to not be accepted by him and others. I then explained it to him and calmed down and told he told me he spewks to my dead mom all of the time and asks me if she hears him. I told him of course she does. Now he thinks is very cool and is super proud of my new career and all of the people im helping to heal

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I help people heal in many ways. As a former psychotherapist from nyc i bring that trianing into my work as a psychic/medium/spiritual counselor and energy healer i worked in psychiatric hospitals in nyc and had my own private practice there and moved to miami 9 yeqrs ago and set up my practice here and then magical things began to happen to me and i discovered all of my healing abilities
and realized helping people in this way was my true passion and purpose here
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
being the best i can be with each individual client being present wiht them in the moment and not thinking of the next cleint, project or event to come
focusing on all of their individual needs
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
