We were lucky to catch up with Enjolina Collins recently and have shared our conversation below.
Enjolina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea came directly from the work itself. I spent years inside dental offices handling billing, operations, and insurance follow-ups, and I kept seeing the same problems repeat themselves, delayed claims, missed revenue, overworked front desks, and systems that didn’t talk to each other. Practices weren’t failing because they lacked skill or effort, they were failing because the administrative side of dentistry was fragmented and outdated.
I remember sitting at my desk late one evening, manually fixing claims that should never have been rejected in the first place, and realizing that the process depended far too much on human memory and manual work. That was the moment it clicked for me, this wasn’t a staffing problem, it was a systems problem.
I started Clear Way Dental Claims to help practices stabilize and recover revenue, but over time, the vision grew bigger. I didn’t just want to fix claims after the damage was done, I wanted to prevent the problems entirely. That’s what led to building BAS with DDI, an intelligent automation system designed to replace guesswork with structure, accuracy, and consistency.
The idea wasn’t born in a boardroom or brainstorming session. It was built from real-world pressure, long hours, and the belief that dental professionals deserve systems that work as hard as they do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m the Founder and CEO of Clear Way Dental Claims, and the creator of BAS with DDI (Billing Automation System with Dental Diagnostic Intelligence). My work sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, dental revenue cycle management, and intelligent automation. I didn’t enter this industry from the outside looking in, I built my company from years of hands-on experience working inside dental practices, managing billing, insurance follow-ups, operations, and the daily administrative pressure that most practices quietly struggle with.
I got into this field because I saw a gap that no one was addressing properly. Dental teams were doing everything “right”, treating patients well, working long hours, following protocols and yet revenue was still delayed, denied, or lost entirely. Front desk staff were overwhelmed, doctors were frustrated, and offices were relying on outdated systems that depended heavily on human memory and manual processes. Over time, I realized this wasn’t a people problem. It was a systems problem.
Clear Way Dental Claims was created to bring structure, accuracy, and accountability to dental billing and administrative workflows. We don’t just submit claims, we build processes, clean up revenue leaks, and help practices understand why money is being lost and how to prevent it from happening again. As the business grew, so did my vision. I wanted to move beyond fixing problems after the fact and instead design a system that could prevent them altogether. That vision became BAS with DDI, an intelligent automation platform designed to replace guesswork with consistency across eligibility, benefits, claims, diagnostics, and reporting.
What sets my work apart is that it’s built from real operational experience, not theory. I understand the pressure points of a dental office because I’ve lived them. Everything we build, whether it’s a workflow, a report, or an automation, is designed to support the people doing the work, not add another layer of complexity. I focus heavily on clarity, compliance, and sustainability, because long-term success in healthcare requires all three.
I’m most proud of creating something that genuinely helps practices breathe again. When a team tells me they finally understand their numbers, or that their staff is no longer drowning in administrative tasks, that’s success to me. I’m also proud of building a brand that stands for integrity, education, and empowerment, especially in an industry where transparency is often missing.
What I want potential clients, partners, and followers to know is that my work is purpose-driven. I don’t believe dental professionals should have to fight their systems to run a successful practice. My goal is to help practices operate smarter, collect what they’ve earned, and focus more energy on patient care, while knowing the business side is finally working the way it should.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience, for me, has looked less like one dramatic moment and more like consistency under pressure. There were seasons early on where I was managing demanding dental offices, building Clear Way Dental Claims, and still handling personal responsibilities, all at the same time. There wasn’t a safety net, and failure wasn’t really an option.
One moment that stands out was when I was brought into a practice that was on the brink financially. Claims were months behind, revenue was stalled, and the staff was overwhelmed. The weight of knowing that real jobs and patient care were impacted by administrative breakdowns was heavy. I worked long hours rebuilding their billing systems, fixing errors, educating the team, and creating structure where there had been chaos.
What made that period challenging was that I was still building my own business infrastructure at the same time. I had to stay focused, steady, and solution-oriented even when things felt uncertain behind the scenes. That experience taught me how to lead calmly, make clear decisions under pressure, and trust my ability to solve problems step by step.
That resilience is what shaped how I build today. It’s why I prioritize systems, sustainability, and clarity, not just growth. I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about pushing endlessly, it’s about building something strong enough to hold you when things get hard.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
What started as problem-solving work alongside my day-to-day responsibilities gradually became my full-time focus. Early on, Clear Way Dental Claims wasn’t a grand business plan, it was simply me helping practices fix billing issues they didn’t have the time, clarity, or systems to address. I was doing the work evenings, weekends, and whenever a practice needed immediate support.
As more offices reached out, I began to see a pattern. These weren’t isolated problems, they were systemic. Claims delays, revenue loss, administrative burnout, and confusion around insurance processes were everywhere. The demand kept growing, and so did the responsibility. Eventually, I reached a point where I had to make a decision, continue treating this as “extra work,” or build something intentional and scalable.
Key milestones included formalizing Clear Way Dental Claims, building repeatable workflows, and transitioning from being reactive to proactive. Later, the vision expanded again when I began developing BAS with DDI, moving from service delivery into system creation. That shift marked the moment this became more than a business, it became a mission.
Today, what began as a side hustle is a full-scale operation focused on helping dental practices operate smarter, recover revenue, and regain control of their administrative systems.
