Emma, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?

I love this question. I think it’s REALLY common for entrepreneurs and business owners to have that moment where they think: can I really pave my own way? The world often makes us feel that “paving our own way” means that we have to choose between having a regular 9-5 or writing off the corporate world completely to forge our own path. I’m here to show you that there’s an expanded realm of possibilities for you! What if it isn’t about choosing your own business OR your corporate career? What if your path is rooted in following what gives you the most joy, regardless of the environment?

When I first started Emma Evolving, I thought about leaving my career in management consulting work, but I never wanted to rush things or put too much pressure on myself to make my business a “success.” I never wanted to lose the fun and joy I got from coaching and holding space for others, so I decided to continue following both paths, which eventually led me to an even more aligned “career” for myself.

Funnily enough, starting my own business was actually a springboard for me to discover coaching in the corporate world, within leadership advisory services! Straddling both worlds allows me to increase my impact and support leaders from the top-down as well as individuals who are discovering their most joyful path.

We aren’t always taught this, but there are NO rules to starting your own business. You don’t HAVE to choose one path over the other. Following all of the paths that excite you might allow your worlds to collide and create something even better than you could have imagined.

While there are guides who focus solely on supporting your personal, inward journey and others who help clarify your career trajectory, my coaching is unique in that I help you bring both worlds together, by blending sparkle with strategy!

I also coach in many different arenas. With organizations and leaders, I leverage a human-first approach rooted in mindfulness to assess, support and coach leaders as a trusted, holistic advisor. In 1:1 sessions with individual clients, we create a special sparkle-informed strategy to build a clear pathway of actionable steps that is uniquely personalized to your authentic career and life goals.

Through my master’s in Organizational Psychology from USC, I focus on the effects of mindfulness on employee well-being and leadership performance, which I blend with my training in Intuition Medicine and Human Design to fully support executives, teams and individuals at all levels!

Recently, Emma Evolving has expanded to sell merch!! I’ve always loved creating jewelry and one day I thought, what better way to use my intuitive gifts than to make cute beaded necklaces for others with colors and charms based on what they intuitively need? I’ve had so much fun surprising and delighting people by expanding my business. My newest addition to the EE merch shop is a SPARKLY TEE that is so fun for all occasions! While most business owners will tell you that they moonlit their way into running their own business, my story is the opposite! Starting my own coaching practice on the “side” allowed me to move towards an incredibly aligned career within the corporate space that compliments and inspires Emma Evolving every day.

What I love about coaching a broad range of clients of all different experience levels, dreams and aspirations is that I get to continue growing and evolving as a coach in all that I do. If you’re currently exploring your dreams on the “side” while figuring out your next steps, don’t feel that you need to choose one thing or the other RIGHT now! Have you ever had to pivot?

For those of you familiar with Human Design, I’m a Manifesting Generator, which means that I’m here to pivot a lot, create new rules and show you what’s possible. When I finally gave myself the permission slip to move through the world in a way that felt easy for me, I was able to let go of what I “should” be doing and do exactly what felt energizing and exciting to me! I no longer feel guilty for changing my mind, switching directions, coloring outside the lines or trying something new, because pivoting is how I’m meant to keep inviting more expansion into my life! A lot of my clients will seek my support when they’re ready to make a huge transition. Having the right guidance as you enter a new chapter of your life can be incredibly freeing and empowering, as you learn to deeply trust your ability to create the life you want and call in opportunities that align with your goals.
