Hi Ellie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

I consider myself an unexpected entrepreneur. I was a very good employee with a great career. I worked for large well know companies in the accessory field throughout the 80’s and 90’s. I loved my jobs and I worked very hard. I also played hard, believing I could do it all and my body decided to make me listen.

I was an asthmatic, allergic to everything, sick all the time and on a lot of medicines. I was in my 30’s, married with 2 young sons and I felt worn out and sickly. Each time I ended at the doctor, was given more medicines, but I was not feeling better.

It was time to figure this out. I learned everything I could about alternative options and spent a lot of time and money at the health food store. I found this experience to not be super satisfying. I got into homeopathy, because of it’s long international history, safety and because it is the only branch of natural or alternative medicine that was regulated by the FDA.

Homeopathy changed my life and the story is longer than this, but Sprayology was born. I am now 59 years old, on no medicines, I feel great, have great blood work and more energy than when I was 30. Here is the thing I still like to work and play hard, but now I work with my body.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Sprayology has been through a great deal and the road has been bumpy. The fact that Sprayology is in business and growing is due to the effectiveness of our products. We have survived the passing of a beloved partner, the 2008/09 financial crisis, many FDA regulation and labeling changes, a recall related to a lab partner not our products and Covid. There are many layers to each of these challenges but we are proud to be in business and helping people feel better naturally.

What were you like growing up?

I was tall at a young age. In 2nd grade I grew 9 inches and by 6th grade I was 5’10”. I bring this up because my teachers would call on me to help in many situations. I looked older then the other kids so I was put in responsible roles. I was born on Christmas day 1964 and the youngest of 5 girls. My sisters were a force at a time when women’s lib was coming of age.

Personality wise I am responsible, dependable and an optimist, the glass is always half full. These traits have served me well as a small business owner.

Interest from a young age I was interested in sports and artistic projects. , I played many sports growing up including tennis, basketball, golf and figure skating. Today at almost 60 I am in love with pickle ball. As a child my mother and I took on home improvement products and as an adult I am a big DIYer. I love making something old and worn look fresh and repurposed.
