We recently connected with Eddie Pimentel and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Eddie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on was the launch of my first solo album, One Way Home!
It was the moment I stopped dreaming about having a music career and actually took the first step toward building one.
Creating and releasing that album taught me everything about songwriting, recording, production, and the challenges of being an independent artist. It was a leap of faith and the foundation for everything that came afterward.
Shortly after, I released the Christmas EP 0:00am Merry Christmas, which further helped me develop my identity as an artist and connect with listeners in a different way.
More recently, that journey has continued with the upcoming EP Eddie Pimentel & Roberta Spindel, featuring Juno Back to 80’s, inspired by the sonic textures of Quincy Jones-era productions, Family From Another Life, a song reflecting my experience of living far from home in Los Angeles, and Driftin’ Blues, a tribute to the blues roots that shaped me as a musician.
Together, these projects represent the beginning and evolution of my solo career. They are meaningful to me because they mark the moment I decided to fully commit to music, share my work with the world, and build a career around my own artistic voice.

Eddie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Brazilian guitarist, singer and songwriter whose work blends blues, soul, gospel, Brazilian music, and contemporary pop influences.
My journey started very early through a deep connection with the guitar and the blues. Over time, that passion led me to study in Los Angeles, where I was fortunate to learn from incredible musicians and eventually be recognized as Guitarist of the Year by Musicians Institute. Those experiences helped shape not only my playing but also my vision as an artist.
In 2024, I released my debut solo album, One Way Home, a project that marked the beginning of my international career. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and featured world-class musicians who had inspired me for years.
Later that same year, I released 0:00am Merry Christmas, an EP that brought a more personal and reflective side of my music, including a tribute to my late father.
Today, my work goes beyond simply writing songs. I focus on creating what I like to call a “sonic ecosystem,” where blues, soul, gospel, Brazilian harmony, and modern production coexist naturally. Whether through original releases, collaborations, live performances, or production work, my goal is always to create music that feels authentic and emotionally meaningful.
What sets me apart is that I don’t see music as a collection of genres. I see it as a conversation between cultures, experiences, and people.
My collaborations with artists from different backgrounds are a reflection of that philosophy.
What I’m most proud of is building an independent career while staying true to my artistic identity. More than awards, streams, or performances, I’m proud that the music continues to connect with people on a personal level.
If there’s one thing I’d like listeners to know, it’s that every project I release comes from a genuine place. My goal is not simply to entertain, but to create music that tells stories, builds bridges between cultures, and leaves a lasting emotional impact.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I think NFTs were a fascinating experiment in digital ownership. What interests me most is their potential for artists.
Streaming has made music more accessible than ever, but it has also made recorded music incredibly difficult to monetize. I can see a future where NFTs, or similar technologies, allow artists to sell albums directly to fans again, whether for $9.99, $19.99, or as special editions with exclusive content and experiences.
At the end of the day, technology will keep evolving, but anything that helps artists build stronger connections with their audience and create sustainable careers is worth paying attention to.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My creative mission is to build bridges through music, between cultures, genres, and people.
One of the things that excites me most today is the opportunity to collaborate with artists I genuinely admire. A great example is the series of EPs I’m creating with three of my favorite singers: Michelle John, Roberta Spindel, and Charlean Carmon. Each project explores a different musical landscape while remaining connected through a shared artistic vision.
For me, these collaborations represent much more than new releases. They are the realization of dreams that began years ago as a student, listener, and fan. They also reflect what I want my career to stand for: bringing together different voices, backgrounds, and influences to create something meaningful and authentic.
Ultimately, my goal is simple, to make music that connects people emotionally and proves that great art can emerge when talented individuals from different worlds come together.
