The most innovative thing I’ve done in my career is launching Ebony V Consulting, a business built to empower speakers with the tools and strategies they need to confidently close high-ticket speaking engagements. But it’s more than just a business, it’s a movement. My mission is to help speakers own their value, show up boldly, and secure the opportunities they deserve.
Through comprehensive training programs and soon to come courses, I support speakers at every stage of their journey to get booked and get paid. What makes this work truly unique is how I’ve blended my booking expertise with hands-on training not only for speakers, but also for new and aspiring booking agents ready to break into the industry.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m Ebony Vanise, a booking coach, booking strategist, and founder of Ebony V Consulting. My journey began when I made the bold decision to leave my career in education to serve as a personal assistant and booking manager for world-renowned speaker Jeremy Anderson with the Jeremy Anderson Group, who I have been booking speaking engagements for over a decade now. What started as an internship quickly turned into a calling, and I realized I had stepped into my dream job.

While working behind the scenes, I noticed many speakers had incredible messages but lacked the tools, strategies, and resources needed to consistently close deals. I launched Ebony V Consulting to change that.

Through training programs and hands-on coaching, I help speakers at every stage grow their confidence, clarify their message and audience, and secure paid speaking opportunities. I also train emerging booking agents to advocate for talent with professionalism and purpose.

What sets my work apart is my heart for people and my belief that when speakers know their worth, they don’t just speak, they shift rooms. I’m proud to help clients break through doubt and step fully into their calling.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

For years, I gave out advice for free helping friends and peers with bookings high ticket speaking gigs, pitch emails, rates, and negotiation tips. I loved it. I just wanted to see people win.

But eventually, I realized… people were profiting from the exact tools and strategies I was handing out while I wasn’t making a dime.

That was my wake-up call: If they can make money using what I give, then what I give is valuable. And I deserve to be paid for that.

So I got serious. I turned my side hustle into a business. I started packaging my tools, charging for my expertise, and built Ebony V Consulting, LLC, helping speakers and booking managers close high-ticket deals.

What started as free advice is now my full-time career. Sometimes your side hustle is just waiting for you to treat it like the business it already is.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Consistency, results, and care.

I didn’t just show up once or twice, I kept showing up. Whether it was helping someone land their first paid speaking gig or coaching a booking manager through a tough negotiation, I gave my best every time. People started to trust that when they came to me, they wouldn’t just get generic advice, they’d get real strategy and real outcomes.

Word of mouth was huge for me. When people started seeing results from my tools and teaching, they told others. And I think that’s what really built my name and results spoke louder than any promo I could’ve done.

But beyond that? I care. I genuinely want to see people win. And in a market where some folks just sell and disappear, I think people feel the difference when someone is truly invested in their success.
