We recently connected with Dre Casseus and have shared our conversation below.
Dre, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
You could ask all of my friends, i’m definitely the one who’s taking a risk all day. One of my biggest creative accomplishments happened by me taking the risk of sneaking on stage and taking pictures for one of my favorite artist ( Dc The Don ) and working with Lyfandfriends. I’d say be careful and mindful of the risk you take and make sure its worth it towards what you’re chasing for as a creative.

Dre, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well for those who don’t know me, my name D’andre Casseus, I’m 22 years old, I also go by Drastic Visuals and I’m a freelance photographer born and raised in Philadelphia. I specialize in portraits, concerts, sports weddings and creative directing for projects. When it comes to photography the thing I’m most proud of when it comes to my work is capturing memories for people which I believe sets me apart from others.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect for me is seeing/hearing the reactions to some of the moments I’ve captured, especially with all the doubt this creative field can give you.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Patience, I feel like non creatives underestimate how long it takes to complete projects, especially when dealing with projects that needs multiple revisions, or deals with a large group of other creatives. Really good work takes time.
