We caught up with the brilliant and insightful DJ ISizzle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
DJ, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The role of a DJ at weddings, birthday parties, and school dances is crucial. They are responsible for setting the mood, creating a fun and lively atmosphere, and keeping the guests entertained throughout the event. The right music can make or break the celebration, and a great DJ understands this better than anyone.
A skilled DJ can read the crowd and adjust the music to keep everyone engaged and dancing. They have a vast knowledge of different genres and styles of music, and can mix them seamlessly to create a dynamic and engaging experience for the guests. They also bring their own equipment, ensuring high-quality sound and lighting that can transform any space into a dance floor.
In terms of business opportunities, being a great DJ can be a lucrative career path. With the increasing demand for entertainment at events, there is a growing need for skilled professionals who can create memorable experiences for guests. Many event planners and hosts are willing to pay a premium for a DJ who can deliver an exceptional performance and keep the crowd dancing all night long.
The idea of starting a DJ business may have come from recognizing the need for quality entertainment at events and realizing that there was a gap in the market for skilled professionals who can create an unforgettable experience for guests. By offering a unique approach, such as providing customized playlists and lighting effects, the business can stand out and differentiate itself from competitors.
Ultimately, the logic behind starting a DJ business is sound – music is an essential part of any celebration, and a great DJ can make all the difference in creating a memorable event. By offering a service that solves a problem, such as providing high-quality entertainment that keeps guests engaged and entertained, the business has a strong chance of success.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media takes time and effort, but it can be a rewarding way to connect with people who share your interests or passion. It took me 3 – 5 years of finding the right people. Here are some tips on how I built my social media audience:
1. Identify your target audience: Determine who you want to reach on social media and tailor your content to their interests and needs. Research the hashtags, keywords, and topics that are popular within your niche and incorporate them into your posts.
2. Consistency is key: Post regularly and consistently to keep your audience engaged and interested in your content. Establish a content calendar or schedule to help you plan and organize your posts in advance.
3. Engage with your audience: Respond to comments and messages from your followers, ask for their opinions and feedback, and actively participate in discussions related to your niche or industry. This can help to build trust and establish your authority in your field.
4. Utilize visuals: Use high-quality images, videos, and graphics to make your posts visually appealing and engaging. Visual content tends to perform better on social media and can help to increase engagement and shares.
5. Promote your social media presence: Share your social media handles on your website, email signature, business cards, and other marketing materials. Encourage your followers to share your content with their networks and invite them to follow your accounts.
6. Use paid advertising: Consider using paid advertising to reach a larger audience or to promote specific campaigns or products. Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter offer a variety of ad formats and targeting options that can help you to reach your ideal audience.
Overall, building a social media presence takes time, patience, and dedication. By creating valuable content, engaging with your audience, and promoting your accounts, you can establish a strong presence on social media and connect with a community of like-minded individuals.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Sure, I’d be happy to share a story about resilience!
One time when I was in college, I had a particularly challenging semester. I was taking a heavy course load, working a part-time job, and dealing with some personal issues all at the same time. It felt like everything was piling up on me and I didn’t know how to handle it all.
But instead of giving up or dropping out, I decided to take a step back and reevaluate my priorities. I made a plan to manage my time more effectively and started seeking support from my professors, friends, and family. It wasn’t easy, but I kept pushing myself to stay focused and motivated.
Slowly but surely, things started to improve. I was able to catch up on my coursework, find new solutions to my problems, and even excel in some of my classes. By the end of the semester, I had learned a lot about resilience and the power of perseverance.
Looking back, I’m proud of how I was able to overcome those challenges and come out stronger on the other side. It wasn’t always easy, but I’m grateful for the lessons I learned and the growth I experienced along the way.
