We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diana Rosales a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Diana, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission the drives your brand?
My name is Diana Rosales and I am the owner and operator of The Tooth Fairy Factory in Fort Worth, TX. I’ve been a licensed Dental Assistant for 14 years and have had the amazing opportunity to watch people from all walks of life achieve the smile of their dreams.
After the pandemic of 2020 occurred we quickly found out that Dentists were not considered “essential.” The dental office I was working in at the time shut down for a few months. Times were uncertain and I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to begin my exit on my own.
Home-based businesses have become extremely popular nowadays. Lash artists, nail technicians, barbers, etc were doing their crafts from home so I thought, why not Teeth Whitening!?
The Tooth Fairy Factory not only helps clients attain white teeth, but encourages a boost in self esteem and confidence! We really promote Self Love and Self-Care Health Care in our affordable spa-like atmosphere.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
The Tooth Fairy Factory uses the samw high quality dental grade products and materials that dental offices use but without the heavy price tag!
Dentistry is very expensive. I wanted to make sure my Teeth Whitening business had an affordable price point so that anyone can feel encouraged to invest in themselves and feel great about it.
The core of my business model is to love yourself, feel confident, and promote Self-Care.
The thing I am the most proud of about The Tooth Fairy Factory is that I’m confident you will never have a Teeth Whitening Session like the one I deliver! I really strived for the relaxing experience to feel elevated with massage chair recliners, neck pillows, undereye masks, face-lift masks, essential oil towels, neon lights, etc!
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my clientele completely off of social media marketing! I made sure that when I began my Instagram page, my branding and vibes were felt.
I’m constantly keeping up with whatever trends pop up. TikTok has helped tremendously. Using location based hashtags, studying your analytics, and creating video content the majority of the time is what’s helped me succeed.
If I was to give a newcomer any advice about social media is to never stop perseverance! Always experiment until you find the sweet spot that reels people in. Put yourself out there daily and do what you have to do to make your business succeed!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I originally started my business journey in 2016 with a soap and candle e-commerce shop named SOAPSTERZ. I poured my heart and soul into that business for years!
I was the OG of attending vendor events and networking. Things took a turn when sales began to slow down and my first merch launch didn’t go so well. I cried for weeks because I couldn’t come to terms with the reality of not having SOAPSTERZ in my life.
I’ve never been the type to quit! I quickly picked myself up, started The Tooth Fairy Factory with the money I had left to invest, and will be putting my leftover merchandise from SOAPSTERZ on Amazon!
