Dewayne & Linda , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.

It is our please to serve the under served. Those who were impacted by Covid 19, low income families , helping people who were recently incarcrated by giving them clothing for job interviews and court dates. We even support of young and gifted young people by giving discounts for high scoring GPAs

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hello to our new followers, we are Dlbooker Enterprise. We are large store with gentle men and ladies clothing, along with a beauty supply store. Our motto is ” Explore the Difference!” This os a store that gives you a personal touch, that you don’t get now days.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Our first store was located in a more conservative dimagraphic area, it was growing well. So I needed to move to expand. My new location is in a more liberal dimagraphic area, this made us rethink and revise our products. In doing so, it caused us to expand and it taught us to think out side the box, to not be affarid of change. In doing so, we’ve have added a Beauty Supply Store.

Any advice for managing a team?

This is an intresting question, seeing that we are a family owned business. We keep the morale going by sometimes having fun sale challenges for our employees. We have voting systems on product sales, product purchasing. Most of all when the holidays come around we have office parties. This seems to be the favorite.
