We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Denisa Scundea. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Denisa below.
Hi Denisa, thanks for joining us today. Some of the most interesting parts of our journey emerge from areas where we believe something that most people in our industry do not – do you have something like that?
Oh, where do I start? Here’s one:
I don’t believe that the algorithm is the problem.
I believe boring content is.
In the social media world, everyone loves to blame the algorithm. “Organic reach is dead.” “Instagram hates small businesses.” You’ve heard the chorus, right? But here’s my unpopular opinion: if your content actually moved people, emotionally, viscerally, subconsciously , it would reach them.
We don’t just post pretty things. We build content around how the human brain processes stories, emotions, and trust. Our secret weapon? Neuromarketing. While others chase likes, we study limbic triggers.
So no, the algorithm isn’t the enemy. The real problem is content that doesn’t understand human nature. That’s what we fix. And it works, not by outsmarting platforms, but by tapping into the actual brains of the people using them.
Because when you stop blaming the system and start understanding the mind, you don’t need to go viral.
You go unforgettable.

Denisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Denisa Scundea, founder and CEO of Ertrion Marketing a bold, social media agency that helps brands cut through the noise with data-driven creativity and radical honesty. I built Ertrion for one reason: because I was tired of watching great companies play small on social media. I am in this industry over 14years now.
I didn’t “fall into” this industry. I ran toward it – eyes open, sleeves rolled up, fully aware of the impact strategic content can have on a business. My path started with a love for design, digital culture, and storytelling, but it quickly grew into something bigger: the realization that attention is today’s currency, and most brands are bankrupt.
Ertrion offers:
Social media strategy, consulting & execution
Brand development including logo, identity & tone of voice
Website creation for businesses ready to elevate
Creative production: content, copy, photoshoots, and ideation
Influencer partnerships & management
Analytics & campaign monitoring
And yes, we do all this without the fluff – no vanity metrics, no “empty engagement,” no “just trust the process” mysticism.
What sets us apart?
We’re not just creative. We’re neuro-creative. We build content that’s rooted in how the brain works – how people feel, react, remember, and decide. Our strategies are based on real behavioral triggers. That’s why our clients get real results.
I’m most proud of two things:
First, that we’ve helped clients go from invisible to in-demand by completely repositioning their brand narrative – not by being louder, but by being smarter.
Second, that we do it with integrity. No manipulation, no hype – just clarity, consistency, and a team that knows what they’re doing.
If someone’s reading this and thinking, “I don’t want an agency, I want a partner who gets it” – that’s us. I built Ertrion to be a no-bullshit, high-impact brand builder for people who are ready to show up differently. If you’re ready to finally stand out for the right reasons, we should talk.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
In the early days, I focused on showing up with substance. No filters. No over-polished nonsense. Just clear, honest insight about what works, what doesn’t, and what I was learning along the way. I spoke from my experience, not from a “growth blueprint.” I think people crave that – someone who actually says, “Here’s what I did. Here’s what failed. Here’s what surprised me.” Networking offline and bring those people online, was my big AHA MOMENT.
My advice?
Don’t waste time trying to look “perfect.” Don’t overthink your grid or obsess over timing. Start by figuring out what you want to be known for – and then show up like you already are that person. Own your story. Own your voice. Make your content feel like a conversation, not a pitch.
And don’t forget: people don’t remember you because you posted often. They remember you because you made them feel something. If your content doesn’t move people, it won’t move the needle.
So: Be clear. Be consistent. Be bold. And if you’re not ready to do that alone – call me. That’s literally what I built Ertrion for.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
That working hard will be enough.
For years, I thought that if I just outworked everyone – stayed up later, learned faster, delivered more – the right people would notice, the right opportunities would land, and the results would speak for themselves.
They didn’t. Not always.
What I had to unlearn is this: you can be brilliant and invisible at the same time if you’re not willing to claim your space.
The shift happened when I started my agency, Ertrion. I had the experience, the clients, the results. But in the beginning, I was still playing it too safe. Being “professional.” Being “low-key.” You know what that got me? Overlooked.
It wasn’t until I fully stepped into my voice : sharp, feminine, no-bullshit ! that things changed. I stopped hiding behind polished slides and started sharing my actual perspective. That’s when the right clients found me. That’s when people started saying, “I trust you because you say what others are too careful to say.”
So what did I unlearn?
That hustle speaks for itself. It doesn’t. You have to speak. You have to stand. You have to own your space before anyone else will.
Now, I help my clients do the same: show up with clarity, own their value, and build brands that don’t whisper: they resonate.
