We were lucky to catch up with Delon Echols recently and have shared our conversation below.
Delon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
The risk i was taking was messing with the wrong people and keeping toxic people in my life when I had better things going for me and better people around that supported me. This lead to my incarceration. At a pivotal moment in the trial when there was a linchpin of an opportunity to clear my name of any wrongdoing my so called friend/brother left me hanging which left me to contest the allegations alone. Ive recently been released after doing 4.5 years and I’ve been in the best shape and mindset tha I’ve ever been in my life with all goal and priorities ahead of me. I turned that negative situation into a positive one, working on myself, mastering myself and vowing to never step into low vibrations again.

Delon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Delon Echols im from the city of East St. Louis, with roots in the DMV. I grew up with just enough struggle to keep me hungry for more, for better. Became an athlete in the 4th grade and been active in organized sports since. Moved to the east coast end of sophomore year receiving a few scholarships in football but lost them due to criminal charges stemming from a Moment of self defense. Since then the hunger to do better and have more amplified dramatically, I didn’t want to be a statistic or a failure which led to a life of luxury, over indulgence and greedy shallow individuals which led to my second arrest, one that lead me to doing 4.5 years in federal prison. Ive recently been released a few months ago. See I’ve always been a straight forward selfless individual, always encouraged others and had empathy for others but learning myself, understanding me was the biggest lesson, gift I could do for myself. I would always give away good advice and give knowledge about things that I necessarily wouldn’t be applying all myself. During prison all that changed, I came out a better version, a matured seasoned version. I know whats it’s like to build something reaching new heights and then having it all taken from you to start over. I know what it’s like to start from nothing, I have touched the depth of rock bottom, the only thing close to death, prison where your forgotten and instead taking the silver lining from that making it out a better version is what I don’t take for granite, a humbling experience. I know what real grind entails. I want everyone to know I’ve been there before and the world is never what it seem, but to always stay true to yourself and always be willing to grow because when you stop growing you become complacent and ultimately fail or get left. My life in fitness and business has led me to what I do now. I run a fitness program that is continuously growing, e-commerce wholesale business and is currently waiting finalization on a pending patent to be licensed all since my incarceration. My work ethic is unmatched, the energy I bring is true and the empathy I have for others is down to earth. I speak what I know and for what I don’t I go searching for, a real truth seeker steadily growing to be better. A student of life i would say. Partnering with me would give you all these elements you ask for in everyday life. Im the guy next door

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I used to believe cash was King and would always bite the bullet that way. But once I learned about credit the game changed completely. I read a few books like the 800 Blueprint and really studied tactics strategies and the financial world like Warren Buffet would always say “When funding your business, the best thing you can do is use someone else’s money” as long as your plan was lethal. I took what I learned from my studies and partnered with a long time friend and we both went in together, them capital and this time for me with credit.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Literally just being me, posting about eating lavish meals, a food connoisseur letting my camera eat first, and frequent travels to lovely locations out and the country or within the states. Brushing shoulder with influencers and just being active online led to my social media presence.
