We caught up with the brilliant and insightful DC Banks a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
DC, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Life is an intriguing process and such a beautiful journey! I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing unparalleled bliss and the misfortune of menacing adversity. Innumerable times I counted myself out, but my faith always prevailed which led me to persevere.
I entered a stormy season in my life about 7 years ago which had me talking to the creator. I asked what my purpose was being here because we all have one. The message I received was inspire and make an impact on every person I place in your path.
The rest will follow have patience. That day “Jusswaitonit” emerged. I realized that fitness was the base to unlocking my purpose. The phrase “Jusswaitonit” ultimately means, Keep Going and Never Give Up. Looking deeper it means find your purpose and grind to your truest potential.
Keep grinding and grind some more because it won’t go unnoticed forever. Eventually everything you ever wanted will surface, after that the grind continues. Always remember your timing might not be the same as the creators so don’t be discouraged. During the process you will acquire acouple of friends named optimism and resilience. With them and faith on your side you will be unstoppable when life tries to hold you down so never give up. #jusswaitonit

DC, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
From foster child to 2 sport collegiate athlete to current 2x American Ninja Warrior semifinalist, My name is DC Banks and I am from Wheeling, WV. I am a personal trainer here in beautiful Phoenix. At a young age I realized the gift that was given to me to connect with people through my athletic abilities which led me to participate in 12 different sports. Among those sports I excelled at football which landed me a scholarship to college where I also played rugby and graduated with 2 degrees. During my collegiate career I became a certified personal trainer and have been helping change people’s lives since 2014.
Since the start of Covid in 2020 I decided to become a mobile personal trainer where I travel to my clients homes or to local parks to train. Its been an incredible experience making training more personal and productive. Currently I am in the process of launching my website so I can reach more people by becoming an online trainer. I am extremely passionate about fitness and the mindset that comes with it. Untimely one day I will impact many lives though my experience and the through my life story.
