Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to David Cholak. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, David thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was stepping into entrepreneurship and building my floral business while balancing school, work, and real life responsibilities. It wasn’t something that felt perfectly planned or safe it started with a vision, a passion for creating, and a belief that I could build something meaningful from nothing.
The backstory was simple but powerful. I’ve always been someone who values growth, creativity, and making people feel something through what I do. At the same time, I was juggling long nights working, early mornings in the gym, school commitments, and trying to build a future that felt bigger than just following a traditional path. Starting the business meant investing money I didn’t necessarily have to spare, risking failure publicly, and putting my name behind something that could either succeed beautifully or fall apart.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My journey into the floral industry began with Endless Flowers, a business originally started by my mom, Amy, in the early 2000s. Growing up around her creativity and passion showed me that flowers are more than gifts, they are expressions of love, celebration, comfort, and connection. As I got older, I stepped in to help grow and evolve the brand, blending the strong foundation she built with a modern, personalized approach. While balancing school, work, and everyday responsibilities, I developed a deeper appreciation for the discipline, care, and intention required to create meaningful designs. Continuing what my mom started became more than business for me, it became a way to honor legacy while building something that reflects my own creativity and work ethic.
At Endless Flowers, we specialize in custom floral arrangements for everyday occasions, holidays, milestone moments, and full wedding floral design. We work closely with couples to design wedding florals that capture their vision, creating bouquets, centerpieces, and installations that elevate the entire atmosphere of their day. The biggest problem we solve is helping people communicate emotions when words feel limited, allowing them to show love, appreciation, and support through intentional design. What sets us apart is the level of personalization, attention to detail, and genuine care that goes into every arrangement rather than offering something that feels mass produced. I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built within the community and want clients to know that every order is created with heart, creativity, and the commitment to making life’s most meaningful moments feel unforgettable.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale starts with leading by example, communicating clearly, and making people feel valued beyond just the work they produce. When expectations are consistent and everyone understands the bigger purpose behind what they’re doing, it creates accountability while still building motivation and pride within the team.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to unlearn was believing I had to do everything myself to maintain quality, a mindset that came from pressure, fear of mistakes, and balancing responsibilities while helping grow Endless Flowers. I realized that real growth came from trusting others, delegating, and understanding that collaboration strengthens both leadership and the overall success of what you’re building.
