Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to David Andras. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
David, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
This may not be for everyone because I can only share what has helped me and it did not come quick and it did not come easy. I have learned that you need a set of principals and values. I truly believe they have made all the difference in my growth as a business leader.
My three principles are:
1. Burning Desire
2. Unconditional Faith
3. Motivated Action
Your burning desire has to be so strong that whatever comes in your way will not affect your vision.
Your unconditional faith will be tested over and over and it has to be so strong that it does not waiver. “Absolutely, Positively, Without a Shadow of a Doubt I know I will achieve what my burning desire is.”
You can not just sit and wish for success, you have to take action and get up off your butt and work for it. Take Motivated Action!
My R.E.A.L. values are:
R – Relationships – You have to build genuine relationships
E – Education – You have to always self educate yourself to become better
A – Achieve – Set a goal and put full effort in to achieving it
L – Love – Love what you do
Putting these principals and values in to play, I know that you will become more successful in business and in life.
David, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is David Andras. I have become a serial entrepreneur, author and coach. I have truly come through the school of hard knocks. From obstacle after obstacle, I have made my way to become a successful entrepreneur and have dedicated my life to helping people become fit and successful. My passion and leadership skills has carried me from some of the most successful fitness and hospitality chains to owing multiple businesses. With no formal education, I have continued to self-educate myself to become a better leader, coach and businessman. I am dedicated, selfless and driven. If I am not exercising at one of my fitness centers, you will find me working hard at one of my coworking centers or spending time with my amazing family!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Two things have allowed my to continue building my reputation within my market. The first has been building genuine relationships with my members and staff. I have always tried to commit myself in getting to know my team and patrons on a personal basis. I still talk to members and staff from when I got started in the industry!
Second has been honesty. Being honest with my members and staff has played a huge role in building and maintaining my reputation.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Absolutely. When I was 19ish, I read 3 books that significantly impacted my management and entrepreneurial thinking. Those books (which I highly recommend) are: 1. Think and Grow Rick
2. How to Win Friends and Influence People
3. Power of Positive Thinking
Life-changing!
