We recently connected with Da’twan Luckie and have shared our conversation below.
Da’twan, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The mission of my business is to inspire people to make health and fitness a priority in their lives. 70% of America is overweight according to CDC standards. That is a REAL problem. After becoming overweight myself, losing over 50 pounds, and creating a standard of good health for myself, I aim to help others create change….just like I did.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Da’twan Luckie I’m a professional fitness coach, entrepreneur, content creator, and fitness model. My fitness coaching business name is Luckie Lifestyle where I provide different services to clients to help them to get and STAY in shape. It’s more than just weight loss or achieving a nice body for summer or some other short term goal. It is about building sustainable health habits that will stick with them throughout their lives. I offer different services from in person 1 on 1 training sessions, to hybrid in person/Online services that include tailor made easy to use programs, text support for any questions clients have, weekly check ins for accountability, and that extra boost of having someone who cares about you achieving your goal in your corner. What I am most proud of is how I am able to effect the lives of people I work with and even those that just follow me on my socials to live better for themselves. I think fulfilling work comes from utilizing the gifts we are all blessed with to effect the lives of others in a positive impactful way. That’s what Luckie lifestyle is all about.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Well 12 years ago I was 50 pounds overweight and a borderline alcoholic. After years of drinking just about everyday and eating fast food religiously I found myself in the worst shape of my life. One day I decided to weigh myself and after seeing the number on the scale I decided that being this way was unacceptable. I started my journey to better health knowing absolutely nothing about how to get from where I was to were I wanted to be. The following year was a struggle for me learning what to do and exercising consistently after being inactive for so long. There were many times I felt like giving up because I wasn’t getting the results as quickly as I wanted but giving up was absolutely not an option for me. Like the iron sword being forged through the grueling processes of extreme heat and pounded into shape I was undergoing a similar process with my body and mind. We never know how resilient we have the capacity to be until we are faced with great challenges.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The biggest thing that’s helped me build my reputation with the people I serve is being a genuine person who’s goal is to actually help others. In business people who are truly out to serve others are the most successful creating a great reputation because human beings are very intuitive. This is why people who are in sales that don’t have a genuine desire to serve are easily sniffed out in business. People are really good at telling if someone is truly trying to help or just trying to make a paycheck. Plus when you truly enjoy what you do that energy from inside reverberates outward and people really love that.
