We recently connected with Danny Assofi and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Danny, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you’ve thought about whether to sign with an agent or manager?
I have a manager who helps me through out the process, his name is Edo Brand. Edo has been a long time friend of mine who helps me with the business and creative side! The reason why I have him managing me is because I trust him, he’s like a brother to me and I know he has nothing but my interests at all times! I believe the reason we decided to work with each other is because we have a common goal, which is to make music for the masses and spread happiness through dancing!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Ever since I was around 7 years old, I was always interested in music. When I was very young I started playing the trumpet and I used to always think how can I spread cheer and positivity to the masses. I started to write music and the more I got into it I started transforming into a DJ. I started producing music for myself and I always had a passion for the EDM/House music genre and to better myself I started mixing for people when I was in high school, but I was always scared and shy to do it for more than family and close friends. It was my manager that gave me the extra boost of confidence to start playing in parties and night clubs! On October 24th, 2023 I had my first ever set at a prestigious nightclub in San Diego called Vybz. They gave me my first ever shot and now 1 year and 2 days later, I will be performing for Epic Festival at Waterfront Park! It gives me a very big pleasure to say that I am performing at a major festival in my hometown of San Diego! The reason on why I’ve progressed so far in my career is because my manager sat me down and got my head on straight by making me follow many rules that will help me advance my career. Something that I take a lot of pleasure saying and want to announce to you guys first, I’m currently working on my first studio album that will be released in 2025, I’m very excited for everyone to hear it!
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal in life is to spread happiness to people and connection through my music! Many people get involved in the music industry for the money, fame and glory but all I want to do is entertain and spread love! My professional goal is to headline at Tomorrowland, Coachella and other major festivals!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect to being a DJ is watching the smiles and people dancing to the music I produce! There is not a better feeling in this world then seeing people smile and dance!
