Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Daniela Perez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Daniela, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Yes I do! I feel so lucky everyday to get to do what I love the most. I believe im a very passionate person for everything I do. My journey with makeup started in 2014 when I used to do my friends makeup and photoshoot for fun, I was the photographer, stylist, makeup artist lol.. the things we do when we love the journey. I think it all happen by the fact that I wasn’t seeing things as a hard journey or thought route. It was 100% passion and action. Taking every oportunity and having fun. it was always like that from day one pure passion and fun, I think that’s the key for anything you do.
I think the road hasn’t been smooth all the time but I will do it the same all over again because that’s what made me who I am today and what allows me to live form my passion.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Im a Creative director and Makeup Artist 100% of the time. I started doing music videos in 2015 I think I’ve done a few by now lol. Ive been working in the industry for 7 years now. I get to work with really cool people like Ed Sheeran, JBalvin, Daddy yankee and many more.
My career allows me to connect with awesome creatives with really passionate people and I think that’s what I love the most. I work mostly with Latin artists, my goal is to get more involved with different culture artist and projects.
I own a creative agency where I get to create campaigns, brainstorm ideas and help people with their business.
For me everything is connected so this passion never ends.. from creating mood boards to visualize big things becoming real.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Passion and I just realice how much I’ve used this word in this interview. Passion drives me crazy, im a very emotional person I don’t know if that’s good or wrong but I do everything with all my heart I don’t do half things either with all or nothing.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Values, we are experiencing really thought times when it comes to peoples values and morale. Be professional and work hard on being a secure person about yourself, you need to believe in yourself so you won’t look at others as a competition but as mentors.
