We were lucky to catch up with Dani Kupersmith recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dani, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The Birth of Deevents
The inspiration for Deevents came from witnessing how couples often struggled to make their wedding day authentically reflect who they are. Weddings can become overwhelming with trends, expectations, and outside pressures, and somewhere along the way, the essence of the couple’s unique love story can get lost. I saw a need to create a space where the couple’s vision takes center stage while providing unparalleled support during the planning process to truly take that pressure off of the couple. This is how Deevents was born.
Before Deevents, my journey began in hospitality, working in a restaurant for four years. During that time, I developed a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver exceptional customer service, the importance of working within a professional team, and how to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment. But my true entry into wedding planning came during an unexpected time—COVID. When my sister got engaged during the lockdown, many planners left the catering company we were working with, leaving a gap in support. On the day of the wedding, I stepped up, coordinating every detail to ensure the day went smoothly. By the end of the night, the company offered me a job. I spent the next two years working with them, learning the ins and outs of wedding coordination. That experience led me to a role at a luxury boutique wedding planning company, where I honed my skills in design and full planning. These three experiences shaped my approach to weddings and gave me a unique perspective on what exceptional customer service really means.
The “Why” Behind the Mission
At its core, our mission is simple: to design weddings that are deeply personal, meaningful and beautiful while providing couples with a seamless wedding planning experience. For me, it’s not just about putting together a stunning event, but about curating an event that tells a love story and making the process enjoyable for my clients. Having been able to experience wedding planning from multiple lenses, I noticed that many couples struggled to find the balance between executing their wedding vision and staying on track and within budget. Our master workbooks, detailed design decks and cost effective options all have contributed to creating the planning process that has driven the success of Deevents. I strive to ensure that this life milestone is a true reflection of the individuals who are celebrating their love without the burden that many newly fiances feel.
Building a Community Through Collaboration
The mission of Deevents doesn’t stop with the couple. I’m a firm believer in fostering a sense of community through collaboration. Each wedding provides the opportunity to work closely with local vendors, supporting small businesses and artisans. By prioritizing these relationships, we’re not just creating beautiful weddings—we’re also nurturing the vendor network that thrives on creativity and mutual support.
Looking to the Future
I’ve had the privilege of working with couples whose lives and backgrounds are as diverse as the weddings we create. Time and again, I’ve seen how thoughtful design, personal touches, and authentic experiences can elevate a wedding from a ceremony to a momentous celebration that lingers throughout a couples marriage. It’s the look in a bride’s eyes when she sees how her dream wedding has come to life, or the joy in a groom’s face when he realizes the day feels just as he imagined—those moments fuel my passion. How could I not fall in love with planning the best day of people’s lives?
As Deevents continue to grow, so does my commitment to improving the planning process, developing more tools for couples and crafting weddings that are not only aesthetically stunning but also reflect the unique ideas and personalities of our clients. The heart of our mission is to celebrate love in its most authentic form, and that mission will always guide everything we do. Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep evolving, finding new ways to connect with couples, support local businesses, and continue making unforgettable memories for my clients.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been rooted in making Deevents accessible to everyone and offering custom packages that cater to each client’s unique needs. I’ve found that weddings are deeply personal, and no two couples are the same. That’s why I’ve prioritized creating flexible packages that allow couples to choose services that truly align with their vision and budget.
From offering à la carte services for couples who may just need day-of coordination to comprehensive, full-service packages for those who want assistance from start to finish, I ensure that every client feels supported. By meeting them where they are, I’m able to create a comfortable and personalized experience, which fosters trust and ultimately leads to word-of-mouth referrals and repeat clients.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience on social media has been all about creating engaging, authentic content that tells the full story of each wedding I work on. From the moment I started Deevents, I knew I wanted to use social media not just to promote my services but to give people an immersive look into what goes into creating a beautiful, personalized wedding day.
Although I am still growing my social media following, I focus heavily on video content because I believe it’s the best way to capture the emotion, energy, and small moments that photos alone can’t fully convey. Whether it’s showing behind-the-scenes footage of setting up a venue, clips of the couple’s first look, or the joyous moments on the dance floor, I make sure to showcase every part of the day. This allows potential clients to see the full scope of what we do at Deevents and how each wedding is uniquely crafted.
