Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dani Abraham. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Dani, appreciate you joining us today. Talk to us about building a team – did you hire quickly, how’d you recruit the first few team members? Any interesting lessons?
In my freelance endeavors, each project typically begins with just myself or a small team. While our initial resources may not always be sufficient for the entire project scope, I recognize the importance of assembling a diverse and talented team to bring the vision to life. This involves hiring skilled professionals such as cinematographers/directors of photography, sound mixers, production designers, costume designers, hair stylists, makeup artists, and assistants—essentially anyone that would be fundamental to the project’s success.
The collaborative nature of film production relies heavily on the coordinated efforts of so many individuals. Behind every finished product you see, there’s a dedicated team working collectively to achieve the best possible outcome.
Fortunately, throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have a robust network of collaborators – both through alumni connections who have played a pivotal role in my projects. However, when these connections aren’t available, I’ve successfully tapped into social media platforms like LinkedIn and relevant Facebook groups to identify and connect with talented professionals who bring valuable skills and perspectives to the table. This adaptability in networking has been instrumental in ensuring the success of my projects even in the absence of familiar contacts.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I always dreamed of growing up to be a witch with magical powers. But since magic isn’t real, I had to find other ways to make it possible – storytelling and filmmaking was the only option. I received a degree in Film Production from Chapman University. I moved to LA with dreams of making the next Clueless, or Hocus Pocus. (You know, a cult classic). I found myself in the digital media industry creating short form content that had the ability to powerfully connect with its audiences, to the same degree.
My career began in Talent Relations working with some of the largest influencers in the world from 2015-2019.
I have parlayed my understanding of utilizing digital influencer’s audiences and my production degree into a career in producing and directing Music Videos and Branded Content; working with major brands like Nike!
I just completed my 3rd feature film, titled “Stupid Games” (COMING SOON!) and I am already excited about the next one.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I’ve always said that as a creative, the ultimate reward lies in witnessing the culmination of everyones efforts—the birth of the final product.
It’s a journey fueled by passion and dedication, a path where the paycheck often falls short of reflecting the countless hours invested in the project. Simply put — We do this because we love it, and because we couldn’t imagine spending our time any other way.
The tangible result becomes a testament to the collective dedication and creative synergy. It’s in these moments, where the intrinsic value transcends the monetary measures, that the heart of the creative endeavor is truly realized.
The immeasurable satisfaction derived from seeing a vision materialize into something remarkable eclipses the challenges and underscores the profound joy that comes with being part of a team committed to creating beauty.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My primary goal is to create content that resonates with the next generation, with a vision that extends beyond mere entertainment. I aspire to make content for kids that not only captivates their imaginations but also contributes to shaping them into better adults. This is inspired by my own experiences of watching wholesome family content with my mom, I recognize the profound impact that such content had on my upbringing.
TV and Movies have the potential to be more than just a source of entertainment; it can serve as a medium for imparting valuable life lessons. My vision is to emulate the positive influence that family-oriented content had on my own formative years, and through storytelling and filmmaking, I aspire to tell stories that leave a lasting imprint on young viewers and shaping them into compassionate, resilient, and mindful individuals as they navigate the journey into adulthood.
