We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dallas Anselmo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dallas, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Risk taking plays a big role in life. Before taking any risk, I like to weigh both the risk and the potential reward. If the potential reward outweighs the risk of the action, it’s a no brainer. Sometimes, you just need to dive into something and simply see how things will play out. My life would look completely different if I hadn’t taken the risks that I have and to further better myself, I’ll continue to take risks. You never know when a random decision you make could change the entire trajectory of your life!
Dallas, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Dallas Anselmo! I’m 23 years old and was born and raised in Colorado, but am now based in Arizona! I am a model and singer-songwriter and spend a lot of time out in LA! I have been singing all of my life, but got into the modeling industry a little over a year ago! I would say I’m most proud of how far I’ve come throughout my modeling career with the shoots and fashion weeks I’ve been able to do! Since starting modeling, I’ve done 200+ photo shoots and have walked in shows such as LAFW, The LA Fashion Show, and Las Vegas Swim Week! Outside of modeling and singing, I am a personal trainer and nutritionist and that is a big passion of mine as well! I believe my drive and passion for my goals is a big thing that sets me apart from others and I will always push myself past all limits to achieve the goals I set for myself!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
A big mission of mine is to be a high fashion model known worldwide for my runway work. I dream of doing shows such as Paris, London and Milan Fashion Week, and that is something that drives me more than anything else! I work everyday to better myself more and more to get to a point where I can fully and confidently pursue and achieve that goal!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I would say that the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing all of the hard work you put into projects all come together. Whether it’s a photoshoot or a fashion show, if it’s something that you put a significant amount of effort into, it’s incredible to see a vision come to life!
