We were lucky to catch up with Cydni Brionne recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cydni , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

Growing up, I was always drawn t music and would sing/listen to music for comfort and as an escape from reality. When I was 19, I had became more committed to my Christian faith which led me to wanting to create music that shares stories about my relationship with God and inspire others to start their own relationship with Him.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Cydni Brionne and I am a faith based singer/songwriter. I began performing when I was 15 years old and have been blessed to perform in various venues in the Houston area. I write and create music regarding my faith and introspective moments with God and my goal is to inspire others to start their own journey with God. One of the things Im most proud of is my debut album, “Journey to Eternity”, because it perfectly captures the kind of music I want to make going forward and the story of God’s fingerprint on my life.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I’m currently unlearning how to let go of perfectionism and give myself grace to make mistakes. For a while I thought it was okay to be a perfectionist because it would mean I would only put out ‘perfection’. However, I recently learned how much of a strain it has not only put on my creative process but also my mental health.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding part of this journey is getting to inspire others and tell my story unapologetically to my audience.
