We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Crowe Boys. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Crowe Boys below.
Hi Crowe Boys, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
What a great question! There are so many answer we could give which is why I think this is such a difficult question to answer. However, I think in this current moment, for us, it would be our albums title track, ‘Good Days’. My brothers and I have built our brand around encouragement and positivity. ‘Good Days’ was the song that dove down to reveal the darker mindset of what life can bring. We know that everyone in their own respect has gone through difficulty in life. Our band has hit a very trying season as well and just as we wrote ‘Good Days’ to be an anthem for people in times of hardship, we found that we needed it just as much as everyone else. We are all broken masterpieces.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We are the Crowe Boys. We are an Alternate/Folk band consisting of three brothers (Ocie, Jacob, and Wes Crowe) based out of New Orleans. My brothers and I grew up playing music on the road in a family band, so music has always been an integral part of our lives. The core of who we are is centered on family and loving people. My brothers and I went through losing a parent when we were much younger. This is one of the very many reasons we try to encourage people to be intentional with the moments you have in life with the people you love! You really never know when they’ll be gone.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Getting caught up in the moment at a show! There’s nothing like that moment when everyone is so taken by the music and the lyrics. As if nothing in the world maters except that moment and the people they’re standing next to. No politics, no beliefs, nothing pulling people apart. Just people. Just humanity.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Just be you. Stop trying to look like what you “think” people want to see and just be who you are. People want to connect. We want to connect! But it has to be authentic. So, just be you.
