Hi Courtney , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I came up the idea that I wanted to be a serial entrepreneur and influencer at the age of 25 seems a little late right lol , but it wasn’t because at that age I feel that’s where you start finding yourself and what you really want to do / accomplish in life . I started my Brand PrettyObsessionLLC because I want to sell the most luxury top notch quality Beauty supplies , Accessories, Clothing & More to give girls that expensive luxury style while on a budget . I do plan on building my brand to the highest level because a year or 5 years from now I would love to be able to buy back my community in downtown Charleston SC. Now over the years of being an entrepreneur it isn’t easy as people make it seem because it’s late nights , early mornings , sometimes no sleep at all , missing deadlines , & most of all inventory can cause the biggest hick up. That’s why I always find it important to conduct business in person , because you want to see what your paying for , what your investing in , taking the RISK as an entrepreneur can go so many ways , but Collaborating with others is also a good way to network and get to know others truth be told that’s what really gets you into places you know . Network as much as you can ! Knowing that I’m using all my talents & creativity to achieve the dreams and crush the goals that I have for myself is amazing I wish I started sooner lol but I’m excited I’ve started now because I’ve grown the confidence to step out into a world that I’ve always wanted which is the luxury, soft women , successful , entrepreneur world. Another reason I chose this era for me is because I’ve always considered being my own boss which I actually enjoy even though it’s 10x more the work I mean it’s really no days off plus I love to take charge and lead in a positive manner. If this wasn’t the field for me God wouldn’t had given it to me in my dreams more than once .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

How did I get into this industry? Hmm i actually just jump into it , not knowing what I was doing but I was learning along the way so now being 28 learning from other successful entrepreneurs, having business coaches & mentors have helped sculpted me to be more professional, Confident , & Head on for this Industry. I really wanted the resources also before I launched anything with my brand , My Brand sells Top quality mink lashes that last up to 30 days with no irritation whatsoever to the eyes they really change your look from boring unattractive to heads turning saying” who’s that’s girl” , just really giving the girls that Luxury expensive look. I feel my lashes really solve the problems for the girls especially the ones thats just now getting into lashes or just like a natural beat even just to boost their ego a little. Being Courtney Diorr & running PrettyObsessionLLC makes me feel unstoppable because i know where I’m going with both companies so it’s really tunnel vision nobody else plate is important enough for me to focus on them or what set me aside because I’m really in my own lane . Well i guess if I could say one thing I would say my brand / products are PRETTY AUTHENTIC . A couple things i would want my future customers / followers to know is that over here we embrace each other , we uplift , we get to the bag., we pray , we apply the pressure to get to the dreams and accomplish the goals that we want so you have a Goal friend , best friend and boss friend over here .

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

A horrible lesson I had to unlearn was being impatient. I had to learn and teach myself that timing is key and so is patience. You don’t wanna rush and do something and it’s all over the place you want to have a full solid foundation and making sure majority of your ducks are in a row .

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Everything came to me when I had my daughter Admire in 2019 and from there I thought of the name , what was it I wanted to do , what I wanted her future to look like and so fourth. So I took my last two checks and just Invested into the lash industry because I would see girls lashes and I would think ugh no ! I need to bring some nice eye catching lashes out and that’s just what I did .
