We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Colie Bailey a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Colie , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?

I believe as a new business especially starting up family and friends are your number one go to for support and getting the word out there. I can’t tell you how many amazing friends and family I have had while opening the business that would do posts or refer friends or hand out flyers at lunches or dinners and just really word-of-mouth talking to people about what we do. That’s truly how we got off the ground running so I am forever grateful for the amazing family and friend support we have.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Colie Bailey and I am a Para Medical Tattoo Specialist. My business is called Revamp Haus located in laguna hills
I am specialized in camouflaging scars, stretch marks, burns, vitiligo etc. I am certified thru the best company in the OmU business called Nue Conceal. Basically I have a device that reads your skin tone and can match your exact skin color and blend in and cover up any skin damage or scaring. We use medical grade serums and inks all by Nue Conceal. It is truly the magic eraser of skin blemishes. I absolve what I do because I get to make people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin again. A lot of people don’t know there is options to get rid of stretch marks or scars permanently and there is! I also specialize in SMP ( Scalp Micro Pigmentation. Enhancing hairlines, balding, thinning, alopecia etc. Again making people feel and look their best is why I love what I do.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

The owner and co founder of our business just so happens to be my best friend of almost ten years. Her name is Monica Mammot. We truly have gone through all of Life’s ups and downs and hurdles together so there’s no one I would rather be in business with than her. Not only is she intelligent and beautiful. She has an amazing soul and loves to help people as well. We were married at the same time to business partners at that time and also got divorced around the same time and have babies of our own to raise. I am a single mother of two beautiful kids and needed to start making a living to take care of my children and that is when Monica brought this idea to light that this industry is truly life changing for so many people. We both do right in our schooling and certification courses and that is how Revamp Haus was born.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Life has its ups and downs and can be tricky at times. I am a single mother of two like I mentioned so I have no other choice, but to hustle and to make a living for my babies. When I came across this industry and what we do and how it changes peoples lives. It was a no-brainer for me. I love all of our clients so much and I’m so grateful for our friends and family and support. My resilience comes from my children and making them proud of me for building something out of nothing.
