Colby, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.

I had spent about a year and a half studying and working on my spiritual journey, discovering what that was and my.place in the spiritual community. One of the major focus of studies was psychic development and divination. This i clouded both independent study and group workshops at one of my local metaphysical shops, Enchanted Earth. I got very close with everyone who worked there. I got more and more involved with the shop. Volunteering for their group events, and led a meet up group called the Witching Hour. I was given the opportunity to audition for a spot as a psychic and advisor. When I say audition, I had to do a series of 10 readings for shop regulars and friends of the spiritual community. After I ran the gauntlet so to speak I was awarded a part-time slot as a reader. After a year of working a couple of days a week, I was offered full-time and the rest is history. I ended up being with Enchanted Earth for ten years, until we closed our doors in February of 2022

Colby, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Merry Meet! I am the Wondering Fool, and Boy Witch Extrodinare, Colby Chance Parrish. I am a professional psychic and spiritual advisor with over a decade of professional experience. I was a dedicated member of Enchanted Earth in Dunedin Florida for 10 years, and when our doors closed in 2022 I set off on my solo journey. Every psychic is different and has their own niche. I work with a blend of divination and psychic intuitive abilities like clairvoyance. For divination, I do something quite special and unique known as Lithomancy. A divination of crystals. I of course work closely with Tarot as well. In addition to psych I abilities and divination, I am also passionate about numerology. Those 4 events, clairvoyance, numerology, Lithomancy, and Tarot is something I incorporate into all of my readings. There are other forms of divination such as animal medicine, and various other oracle readings I’m able to add into a session when.needed. my approach to all things magical metaphysical spiritual, and even a little witchical, is with practicality. I feel in this beautiful modern era of spirituality, especially now that social media is what it is, that we tend to over complicate what is already quite complicated. So bringing a simplistic approach has brought me a great deal of success when working with clients and with students. Speaking of social media, I feel that in this day and age, it is a tool that when used correctly can very much expand your reach and visibility. I have clients spread out across this beautiful earth because of social media platforms. You can find me posting collective readings 5 days a week on Instagram @thewonderingfool333 Facebook @thewonderingfoolspiritualadvisor you can even find me on TikTok where I stream 3 days a week; Mystical.Mundayz at 7pm every Monday, Late Nite with the Boy Witch on Wednesdays in the midnight hour and on Thursdays for Twin Libra Chat with my talented and lovely sister @Swytch7 at 7pm @thewonderingfool.. I am available for private readings both virtually and by phone Monday through Friday from 1-6pm and the third Saturday of every month I am at the Healing Hedge Witch in downtown Tarpon Springs taking clients in person from noon-6pm. most general readings last between 30-45 minutes, many clients like to extend to either 45 minute or an hour so we can explore the other forms of divination. Especially those who are actively walking their own spiritual journey.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Breaking out into the professional realm of the spiritual community is not an easy thing. Especially in the Tampa Bay area, as it is very saturated, but it’s not impossible. The first thing is to discover what makes you unique. What is it you have to offer that maybe is not widely available, for me that was my Lithomancy divination. Be great at what you do. Find your voice, style, and vibe. Be different! Here is the hardest part for many To be part of this professional community, you have to be willing to be seen. To step into the limelight and not be shy about it. You are a business. You must promoted, you must be hungry, and you must stay available energetically. I am posting and promoting 6 days a week across social media platforms.
With that said, you must also make time for self care throughout this as well. You must be at your best in order to be of service to others.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I understand this will not be for everyone, and it is not the first time I’ve mentioned this, but social media is your friend if you approach it right. As I mentioned earlier, one of the keys to breaking out in the spiritual community is the willingness to be seen. Stay in their sight! How do you do that? Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The Wondering Fool is a brand. It started as a likes page a million moons ago on Facebook. When I started posting spiritual content on Instagram, I carried over the Wondering Fool and again when I began creating content on TikTok. It is a discipline. I post a minimum of 2 videos on TikTok 6 days a week, I post in both my Instagram and Facebook stories 6 days a week and my tarot 365 collective message 5 days a week on both of those platforms. I make myself available as often as possible but do have parameters. I do my very best to reply to my clients or anyone inquiring on services as soon as I possibly can. Social media was the main key to my success. It’s free, I do not pay for advertisements or boosts. I just consistently post and try to keep my content as relatable and digestible as possible
