Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to CODY NEWPORT. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
CODY, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope my legacy will be one of leaving a positive mark on the tourism industry. I want to create an environment and culture with all our tours of exploration, comfort and safety. I want to empower my staff to always go over and beyond to make our next client to fell fulfilled and content. I want to have a good reputation of deliver quality experiences to our many visitors.
CODY, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I originally got into this work when I worked summers in Alaska as a tour guide for 5 years. I have owned and operated my own sightseeing tourism business for past 4 years. I have built it brick by brick to what it is today. Our quality of care and service sets us apart from all the rest. We try problem solving with excellent communication always. I am most proud of how our business has grown and how the word of built it has spread to how well we take care our guests!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I would say good word of mouth and reviews. I get calls daily from people who want the excellent experience that others have posted about online. Online and social media is a gamechanger!
Have you ever had to pivot?
During covid we had to shut down for 8 months. I drastically had to retool and rethink about business and reopening was a challenge. Obviously guest safety was paramount as well as retooling for a new travel world.
