We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cody James. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cody below.
Alright, Cody thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Learning the craft (and continuining) has been an absolute fun journey, and its exciting to look back and imagine what results the same amount of time put into the grind will yield. I really took my artistry serious last year, and made the promise to be a student of the game. Alot of hours, alot of youtube videos, online seminoirs to better learn how to write, record myself and other, mix and master etc. Even with song writing i started to take an actual structured out approach and its paid dividends. I could have taken it this serious years ago, but certain life chapters flipped my mindset and made start to approach it differently. Honestly, the most important skill i had was the ability to soak up information with zero ego, learning from everyone somehow someway in the same industry no matter the level, even the fans/supporters i always take what i said in constructive cristicim and apply it. The only reals obstacles ive faced is feeling like theres not enough time in a day and myself. I had to develop this crazy belief in myself which is no longer as crazy as i thought, but also keep those goals, visions, and believes to myself, because people will try to break those down, from inner insecurities.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Ima vibe curator, an energy provider, Ive been making music for 8 years now, taught myself to mix and master, a word smith, a poet. I specialize in the Hiphop, RNB scene. I got into the scene honestly just by always writing poetry and just got curious one day if i could convert that to music, and i did. Great decision. I provide clients with crisp clear, wavy engineering at a price they can save some money, i just want to create good music and help other do the same, theres enough to go around. I take pride in making genuine music, that provides fans and listeners a sense of confidence and belonging.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
honestly i just stayed unappologetically myself, consistently consistent, i never tried to sway who i was truly was for likes views or engagement. as much as having cool music is, being a cool genuine person has grown my online presence, and im thankful for the peoples following that journey of creative and personal growth
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
absolutely, selfishly its to become 100 % self reliant on the artistry to provide income but also to make that inner child form of me proud.. for others, its too build a community and an outlet for like creatives who come from the same area and have the goal, to simply create
