We were lucky to catch up with Classik Mussik recently and have shared our conversation below.

Classik, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Every Project Ive Worked ON Has come with , sacrifices , downs , clarity ,change , life changing decisions . It has never been a easy road for me when releasing music because i have to relive what writing about , and i have to re-Feel what im singing about , and Man , when u think u move passed stuff or dealt with things and find out that all that hurt was just under a rug so everything looks nice , but you are really good looking mess . That been me , and every time i do a project im better and better , more wiser , more healed and more free . But its a War to get there and I fight hard .

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I Started professionally if i can call it that when i was really young , I was sleeping at the church we were attending of and on , and here and there , one day asked a member , can i clean her apt , take trash out and wash car , she told me yes . My mom brought me over and when i took out the trash i found a broken lap top in the dumpster . I took it home and took my own trash out some tie later and found a big fat screen for a regular desk to-computer . I noticed they had the same thing on the sides one with holes one with points , plugged them up , it worked , started beating on the desk to sound recorder. Few years later I , Got me 5 jobs at valley view mall , and started getting equipment , nd the rest is history from there . Till this day i still can’t believe it happened Like that . Im forever grateful the universe gave me a way out in some of my darkest times . I just had to be priceless and determined to grow and plant the seed . then boom a Tree Appeared .

I noticed i could sing at 5 started imitating stevie , ray charles , michael jackson , and the list goes on , on whos music i loved when i was trying to find my way . I wrote my first song TWO same age . , Started making beats at 12 and learning to engineer around 14 . 2008 I purchased my first studio and also got my first apt , with my big brother whos now a producer after countless times of me getting on his nerves trying to let him hear beats lol . I started my own production label in 2007 , my own record label in 2008 . my corporations an publishing company in 2014, and i now learn and teach the business side of the entertainment industry to my peers . . That was a quick summary of my process in order to how i got here now and what happening now lol .

Every one has there reason , there way , there process , there cope , there Magic if they have any of this at all .
Im different because my magic is different , Im a few of the late greatest artist in the world , living and expressing in modern times blended with My mind , thoughts , passion and soul . I can feel what I’ve taken from them and how it magnifies me and empowers me to be a better me as if i was competing with them . There energy surrounds me , and i accept it like the tv show Hylander .

I most proud to be a person of expression , first off and not in hell in my mind and heart , next im honored that i give people Hope , and that my mother and pops was proud of me before they left here . I live the rest of my life knowing i motivate people and make them wanna keep going , and the ones i looked up to the most in the world Rest’s being proud of me and who I’ve become , and im only gonna get better .

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

No after what i keep going and working . Life hits hard and most of us give up so quick on our ways out .
I can’t and won’t , no matter what I’ve devoted my life into making it , and i will not stop .
when im sad i create
when im happy i create
when im depressed i create
when im lost i create
when im heart broken i create
when im stabbed in the back i create
when im in love i create
when i have a sexual encounter i create
no matter what i use my life to move forward instead of quitting .

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

i wish i knew what , the world was really about when i started .. I took my heart into a heartless game trying to spread love and genuine energy and its not even about that , its about business and business FIRST . That’ll save u from certain let downs , dont treat business like your wife or husband or family .
Its business and in that u can have a few close relationships , but its business and will always be about business and if you lose that prospective then your losing in that business .
