Cierra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?

I hope my legacy will be one of love, hard work and dedication.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Cierra Ri’chard. I am from Cincinnati oh. I relocated to Atlanta GA shortly after graduating college in 2015.

I worked in corporate america for a few years while simultaneously pursuing my dream of becoming a Realestate Investor & creating my own companies: Melaninbar & Ambitious Girl.

Becoming a Realestate investor & cultivating my companies has allowed me build generational wealth for my family and create a space where I am fulfilling my purpose of encouraging authentic confidence, personal value, and love of self in young women.

The Covid-19 virus was an unforeseen global pandemic that effected the world.
There were many ways in which my family was impacted during these trying times.
However, my husband and I were blessed with a child and continued to thrive in our Realestate endeavors, in which we are extremely grateful God kept his hands on our family and business.

There were so many transitions and challenges that were thrown my way over the last few years, but I am an overcomer and nevertheless I persisted.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Over the last few years I have been behind the scenes quietly rebranding my company Melaninbar.

With my company Melaninbar I was able to build a community of women who were all seeking inclusion & a place to celebrate our unique differences in complexion.

While building Melaninbar , I connected with many ambitious women in various industries. I met women in every walk of life and saw we all had something in common.

We were all on a journey to becoming our best selves. We were all in search of way to invest in our person care.

Searching for time away from life’s hustle sometimes stressful & mundane pattern.
A space to network, feel recharged, inspired & unwind.

I am in the process of creating a space were we can do just that.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I built my my audience on social media by connecting with like minded ppl over the years.

At the top of 2020 I deleted my Instagram account and decided to take a break from social media.

When I tell others they often think it was an irrational decision. I went from having thousands of followers to now a few hundred lol why would I want to start over !

It was in the height of covid when I deleted my account. I was pregnant full of hormones and social media started to give me anxiety due to having access to so tragedies at my fingertips

I really needed to filter what I was intaking. So I deleted my account , took time to fast & pray and find out the best way I should use the platform. I think it was the best decision I ever made

I have a blank canvas to build a community of like minded people who are in line with my purpose.

I am creating a community and adding value to the world by showing up as my authentic self

My advice to anyone building a following on social media is don’t be afraid to show up authentically
