We were lucky to catch up with Christopher Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
Being that my business is unique, I get to meet and learn about a very and diverse group of people. One of the most underserved groups are those that are just starting to understand that their dreams can become a reality. One of my favorite memories came from a session where I allowed my client to just “get it out.” What do I mean by “get it out”- putting words to the dream so that you can start to get a more clear picture of what it may be. One of the main phrases that you hear from this community of
creatives is “this may not make sense” . This is where I come in, to remind them that their dream is not meant to make sense to everyone, as long as it makes sense to them. Once they start to get it out and realize that they have someone in that space with them to form it, they illuminate and almost start to float with excitement.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Christopher Williams. I have many titles but I’m mostly know as a Creator.
I help people create businesses, I create purposeful jewelry and I help create spiritually healthy lifestyles for others. I own Luxury Goods LLC, which is under the umbrella of Williams Conglomerate. This is my vehicle to make the above mentioned things happen for others. Luxury Goods , on the surface, creates handmade bespoke gemstone jewelry. The truth is that Luxury Goods is alot more than that; it is redefining what it means to live a Luxury lifestyle from the inside out. I educate people about natural gemstones and how they can contribute to helping create a healthier life. This helps to re shape people’s definition of quality customer service. From here, I normally end up talking to them about their goals and visions. Coaching and business collaborations normally accompany most of these in-depth interactions.
You can find examples of my jewelry on IG: @realluxurygoods_, as well as talk business with me at @williams_enterprises.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
So many lessons over the years, to be honest. I have two. First, anything that is quality takes time to perfect. Whether it’s a widget or a process, do not skimp out on investing time into it. Some overnight successes take years to come to fruition.
Secondly, and in a way this ties into the first one: You don’t have to have it all together to get started on your business or dream. Take whatever you have in your hands, heart and mind and take action. Everything that you need will find its way to you as you move forward. I started a YouTube show back around 2014 called Inspired with Christopher Williams. I started it with an up and coming production company at the time. I can remember our last planning meeting before we started shooting the show because I was thinking about all of the little details that I couldn’t see working out. After a while, one of the producers said, “Let’s just do it, and see what happens from there or else you will end up planning yourself out of excitement. ” That stuck with me because it’s true. You have to leap. It’s when you leap and have faith that things start to happen. I didn’t have much of a budget at all, but they worked with me on a monthly basis, and to my surprise, I made it work. We shot about seven seasons, or 28 episodes, about leadership skills and how to start and run a business. Every episode got easier to shoot and prepare for, to the point that I didn’t have to prepare at all. Most of the content for the episodes came naturally the morning of each shoot.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Believe it or not, pop up shops and vendor opportunities. Getting a chance to actually connect with people is the way forward in my opinion. I’ve made so many connections from actually experiencing people. I think that people are slowly getting tired of the facades that they see on social media because they realize that people are not always as genuine online. Word of mouth via in person festivals and markets are great ways to meet real people that want what you have to offer
