We recently connected with Christopher Bevans and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher , thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
What Does It Take to Be Successful?
Success is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but what does it really mean? The first step to achieving success is defining it for yourself. For some, success means financial wealth and fame; for others, it’s about raising strong, independent children or simply finding peace and happiness in everyday life. Until you define success on your terms, you’ll always be chasing someone else’s version of it.
The Power of Mindset
Once you know what success looks like for you, the next step is understanding your mindset. How you think and believe about yourself shapes everything. As the saying goes, “As a man thinketh, so is he.” Your thoughts dictate your reality if you believe you can, you will; if you believe you can’t, you won’t.
Another powerful principle is “As above, so below; as within, so without.” This means that your external world is a reflection of your internal world. If your mind is full of doubt and negativity, your life will reflect that. But if you cultivate belief, discipline, and a positive vision, you’ll start to see those things manifest around you.
Create the World You Want to See
I always tell people: create the world you would like to see. You have the power to shape your reality. Whether it’s through daily habits, the people you surround yourself with, or the actions you take, everything you do builds the life you want or don’t want. The key is being intentional.
Success isn’t just about working hard; it’s about working with purpose, aligning your actions with your vision, and believing in yourself every step of the way. Define success for yourself, master your mindset, and start creating the life you want. That’s what it truly takes to be successful.

Christopher , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Christopher Bevans, an entrepreneur, speaker, and coach focused on breaking cycles, building legacies, and inspiring others to overcome and thrive. My journey has been shaped by resilience, risk-taking, and a commitment to personal growth.
I first stepped into entrepreneurship in 2020 when I founded Tischoo Co, a toilet paper company, during the COVID-19 pandemic. I later started my own trucking company, navigating the ups and downs of business ownership while learning invaluable lessons about perseverance. As the CEO and owner of Tischoo Co, along with my other ventures, my experiences have solidified my passion for leadership and innovation.
Beyond business, I run a podcast called Dirt Into Diamonds, where I share real-life lessons on overcoming adversity. I also speak on personal development, fatherhood, and breaking generational curses because I’ve lived through those struggles myself.
Right now, my focus is on building my motivational speaking brand, Turning Dirt Into Diamonds, which is all about transforming hardships into opportunities. I help people shift their mindset, take ownership of their lives, and create the future they want, regardless of their past.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just talk about overcoming obstacles I’ve lived it. I grew up in a single-parent household, became a single father myself, and navigated setbacks, failures, and even a criminal record. But I never let those things define me. I took risks, bet on myself, and kept pushing forward.
I’m most proud of my ability to turn adversity into fuel not just for myself but for others. Whether through speaking, mentorship, or storytelling, I want to show people that no matter where they start, they can create a life of success and impact.
For anyone looking to connect with my work, I want them to know that I stand for perseverance, purpose, and transformation. My mission is to help others break cycles, build legacies, and turn their struggles into stepping stones for success.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
My company, Rapid Resq Response, provides automobile services and more, including roadside assistance, lockout services, car detailing, pressure washing, and snow removal.A friend and I started these side hustles to generate additional income while expanding our network. Unlike my other ventures, I’m not looking to scale these businesses at the moment, but they serve a key purpose—generating steady income, opening doors to new connections, and providing opportunities to meet people from different industries.
I got into these side hustles by recognizing the demand for reliable locksmith services and quality detailing. Both businesses allow me to serve my community while staying flexible in my other pursuits. Whether it’s helping someone get back into their car or making a vehicle look brand new, these services give me a hands-on way to provide value while reinforcing the mindset that multiple streams of income are essential for long-term success.
While I don’t have plans to scale them right now, every job is an opportunity—to learn, to meet new people, and to create relationships that could lead to something even bigger down the road. These businesses aren’t just about making money; they’re about staying connected, staying resourceful, and keeping doors open for whatever opportunities may come next.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience on social media by staying true to myself. I believe your tribe will find you there’s no need to chase or try to appeal to everyone. It doesn’t work like that. Just like some people prefer Pepsi and others prefer Coca-Cola, your audience is your audience. The key is to focus on authenticity because people can sense when you’re being real versus when you’re just trying to fit a mold.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that people are going to think what they want about you no matter what. You can’t control their opinions, but you can control how you show up. That’s why I focus on sharing my journey both the wins and the struggles because that’ what truly connects with people.
For anyone just starting to build a social media presence, my advice is simple: be consistent, be intentional, and be yourself. Post content that reflects who you are and what you stand for. Don’t get caught up in numbers focus on impact. Engage with your audience, build real connections, and stay patient. Your people will find you, and when they do, it will be because of who you truly are, not who you tried to be.
