Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chen Hsuan Pai. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Chen Hsuan, thanks for joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?

I love my job as an artist because I have always been passionate about it. When it comes to styling, I aim to present a unique personal aesthetic. As a model, I enjoy experimenting with various styles and challenging myself with the multitude of possibilities. I have contemplated what it would be like to have a typical job, but I believe this inclination may be due to my personality. I want to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, and explore different experiences.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am currently studying at the Academy of Art University, and this is my final year. I specialize in personal styling and editorial styling, and I also work as a model. In this industry, I strive to incorporate my personal aesthetic as much as possible to create a unique style. Fashion has always been a passion of mine, and I continuously stay updated in this field. I enjoy experimenting with different styles and am eager to challenge myself with various possibilities.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I believe that before building an audience on social media, you need to understand your own audience and determine the types of posts that can help increase traffic. Put effort into creating your own content and present high-quality posts to your audience. Personally, collaborating with other artists has allowed me to increase my exposure and encourage others to follow me. This is a great strategy for building your target audience.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

For me, as an artist, I enjoy a significant degree of freedom and autonomy. I prioritize self-expression, and my creativity enables me to convey my emotions and offer a unique perspective on fashion. Each time I create something from scratch, it provides me with a sense of accomplishment, especially when it finds success.
