Alright, Celena thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, one thing many business owners consider is donating a percentage of sales or profits to an organization or cause. We’d love to hear your thoughts and the story behind how and why you chose the cause or organization you donate to.
LUNA ZEN is a very PET focused business who works with several sanctuaries/charities locally in Arizona and around the U.S. We donate 20% of all our Pet Product purchases to these various charities and sanctuaries. This allows for the sanctuaries and shelters to purchase supplies, food, medical supplies, etc for our local animals in need of help. Arizona’s feral animal rates have skyrocketed over the pandemic which has caused an increase in crisis for Veterinarians, Vet Nurses, and shelters.

Owner Celena Santa Cruz is a Veterinary Nurse with a passion for the wellness of pets and people. She spends her days whipping up CBD Products in her kitchen, attending Pop Up events, and cuddling her two dogs, Bella & Pablo.
Celena started LUNA ZEN in 2020 with one product: a CBD Body Scrub. Having since expanded, we now carry 17 products!
Passionate about Animal Advocacy, as well as Health & Wellness, she hopes to inspire others to become informed about plant-based alternatives vs. pharmaceuticals for themselves and their pets.
Fun Fact: Celena dreams of one day starting her own animal sanctuary filled with horses, cows, dogs, chickens, and pigs!

LUNA ZEN products are handmade in small batches in Tucson, AZ. We strive to use only the best natural ingredients in all of our products, Celena, LUNA ZEN’s founder, started making CBD products for herself and her own Pets and saw how effective and healing CBD is firsthand. Celena decided that she would LOVE to promote a healing, plant-based alternative to her community and their pets. Thus, LUNA ZEN was born and here we are 4 years later, shipping to customers and their pets all over the United States.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
LUNA ZEN was born during the pandemic as a side hustle while Celena, the founder, was in Veterinary Nursing School. While it was a hectic time for Celena to balance both school and working at a pet clinic, with a growing Small Business, she knew that LUNA ZEN would be successful and stayed persistant! LUNA ZEN has become her full time business career for her and she is very grateful for that opportunity!
