We were lucky to catch up with Carson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Carson, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was betting on myself and sharing my craft with the world.
In 2019, the idea of creating my own creative company first sparked in my mind—an avenue where artists and creatives could come together, a hub where talents could be highlighted, whether through traditional art forms like painting or through music. I had always been passionate about the arts, but I never fully committed to taking it seriously.
Who knew that the next year of my life would change everything? The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought heartbreak and uncertainty, but it also laid the foundation for what would later become Webb Creative House, LLC. and the persona of Carson.
I vividly remember recording my debut single, Human, wondering how the world would perceive my art—how they would react to me being so vulnerable on a track that describes my shortcomings as just that: a human navigating the stresses of life. At the same time, I was planning my next steps—not only to provide myself with a platform but to create a space where others could share their art with the world. This vision eventually led to the creation of Live To Create, an annual art show hosted by Webb Creative House.
From winning art competitions at an early age to sharing songs recorded on my phone with friends, my creative journey had always been personal. But it wasn’t until a good friend and fellow artist, Trendy Tre, sat me down and told me, “You really have nothing to lose,” that I decided to take the leap of faith. I put my trust in God and realized that I do have something to offer the world—not just through my creative talents, but by uplifting others in the process.
That leap of faith opened doors I never imagined. I’ve had the opportunity to perform at notable venues and festivals across Chicago, bringing my message and music to new audiences. Beyond the stage, my art has reached places I once only dreamed of—including the chance to create a custom piece for none other than Kirk Franklin. Moments like these remind me why I started: to share, to inspire, and to leave a lasting impact.
Looking back, I realize that betting on myself was the best decision I ever made. It taught me that fear is temporary, but regret lasts forever. As I look ahead to planning our fourth annual Live To Create event, I see that Webb Creative House is no longer just an idea—it’s a movement. It’s a space where artists can thrive, share, create, and inspire.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who may not be familiar with me, my name is Carson, and I am an artist, musician, and founder of Webb Creative House, LLC. My journey into the arts wasn’t something I initially saw as a career—it was always a passion, but for a long time, I hesitated to take it seriously.
I grew up drawing and participating in art competitions from an early age. I also sang in the church choir starting at just six years old. However, it wasn’t until 2019 that I had the idea of creating a space where artists and creatives could come together—a hub where talent could be highlighted. The emotions and heartbreak I experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic reignited my passion for writing music. But this time, I wanted to do more than create—I wanted to make a lasting impact by spreading a message of positivity and love through my work.
As the founder and head creative director of Webb Creative House, LLC, I lead an organization dedicated to uplifting artists and the community. We host an annual art show, Live To Create, which gives emerging artists and creatives a platform to showcase their work. Beyond the arts, we are deeply committed to community outreach, organizing events that range from assisting youth experiencing housing instability to hosting wellness events that promote mental well-being.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that art has the power to heal, inspire, and bring people together. Through Webb Creative House, my goal is to continue creating spaces where people can express themselves freely and connect through the power of creativity. Through my music, I want to spread love and positivity into the world. I truly believe this is my God-given calling—to share the gifts and ideas He has given me with others.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely. My creative journey is driven by a deep passion for inspiring, uplifting, and creating spaces where artists and individuals can express themselves freely. Through Webb Creative House, LLC, my mission is to provide a platform for emerging creatives to showcase their work, connect with like-minded individuals, and build a supportive artistic community.
Through my music, my goal is to spread love and positivity into the world. In a world filled with negativity, I truly believe it is my mission to be a source of balance and light. God has given me these gifts and ideas for a reason, and I believe they are meant to inspire, heal, and connect with others.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being an artist or creative is knowing that, even if I don’t realize it right away, what I put into the world can make a positive impact on someone’s life. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and whether it’s my artwork or my music, knowing that it resonates with someone and leaves a lasting impression is truly meaningful to me.
At the end of the day, if my art can touch just one person, encourage someone to chase their dreams, or bring hope to those who need it, then I know I’m fulfilling my purpose.
