Carly , appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I’ve always been fascinated with fashion & modeling, and I wanted to pursue it at a higher degree, and in a city that is fashion forward, so I took the risk and moved across the country to Los Angeles. This is my first time living alone & moving away from family in hopes that i can pursue fashion as my full time career. Whether its me continuing to model, personal style, & creative direct on sets. So far everything has been paying off & im continuing to network in the city & im manifesting that the rest of 2023 is great!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a 22 year aries from toledo ohio who started modeling professionally in 2020. Detroit Michigan was the main hub for my modeling career to start off & where i made great connections & photographers. I’ve done all sorts of modeling including print, econ, editorial, campaign & fit. I’m most proud of all the friendships i have created working with and alongside so many photographers & it fulfills me knowing i’ll continuing to meet many more great artist in the fashion industry. I want everyone to know that your can pursue whatever makes you happy & that being open to change is the only way to achieve all the things you want! manifestation is key!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Networking & posting content to social media is the fastest & easiest way to reach people/agencies & a great way to show off your portfolio. Connect with accounts, follow algorithms, & stay consistent!
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Instagram & TikTok have been the best resources for connecting with new photographers & clients for styling. Instagram it’s so easy to network & see who people are collaborating with one another. TikTok has a lot of modeling tips, agencies/casting tips & who to sign with. Along with just background stories of models personal day to day life.
