Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to CAMERYN DAVIS. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
CAMERYN, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you’ve thought about whether to sign with an agent or manager?
As a model and actor To sign with a agent or agency is a lifelong dream for me. But also just understanding that it doesn’t stop from there. I know that it’s only the beginning. Independently pursuing this career has taught me only you can help yourself. To go after what you want as creative is totally up to you. I’m pursuing it with good intentions and taking risks while loving what I’m doing. But signing with a partner or agent would be helpful tho LOL. But I know im going to have to keep putting in the work while no one is looking. That’s like the tricky part about being apart of the creative world, You have to put in the time and effort when no one sees it but also having that undeniable faith knowing as a model you’ll get signed to a agency
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As a model man, I feel like I put in a lot of work. Day in and day out about my dreams as a model and actor. This is what I genuinely love to do. Going into auditions just trying to make an impression is all I care about about and doing photoshoots as a creative I feel great about about my work. I’m currently just trying to find a way to make my shoots more creative. A natural feel to my photos, i want people to see my photos and see inspiration like man I want to do that or I want to go after what I want in life. I believe I am the best model coming out right now. I just have that crazy faith that I’ll come out on top by hard work, constantly having a creative mindset man and knowing my work is valuable and has value in it. I believe in myself and most importantly I believe in God. And that’s really all I need. I know I can win.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to make the best work I can. And to develop a more creative eye and mindset for my work and also for other people
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I think people who’s not in this space tells other real creatives to chase what’s ever trendy. There’s good to that and then there’s bad. Chasing something trendy or what’s hot at the moment is like, you’ll get put on quicker but what happen is that you become a flash in the pan. Like “oh he was wilding to much now he ain’t lit no more” . But that’s due to chasing the hot thing. Whatever is the most trending way to get on.But if you’re just being authentic and being yourself, you’ll stay around a little longer. Your have real fans to support you and connect to you. Me being young I’m learning, im going to always be authentic but I’m learning the “business” side of things, and how things really go. I want to be around for a while and help other people get in the right direction when pursuing in this entertainment space.
