We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bridget Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bridget below.
Bridget, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
When I was a young girl, my parents would make my siblings and I read 3-5 books every month, write book reports, and create pros and cons lists of items we desired for the school year. We did this every summer! Although to some it seemed unnecessary, it helped to shape me into who I am today. It instilled discipline, an inquiring mind, reasoning skills, decision making skills, and most importantly the ability to not have to fit in. My parents started me very young as an independent thinker and problem solver. Everywhere we went, we would solve problems, talk through scenarios, and help make familial decisions. It not only made my childhood different, but fun, explorative, and life changing.
They did so many things right, but the most important impartation is my relationship with God. They showed me who He was, and who I am. To this day, it’s the best gift they could have ever given, and the one thing that shaped all the other things they did right!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
I am a personal trainer/group exercise instructor, wellness coach, athletic trainer, and educator with a unique set of skill and passion. Developed from earning a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and a master’s in Health Administration, my passion to help others is innate and continues to develop and flourish as I grow. My motto is: “I Live Better, I Feel Better, I Look Better, I am Better”
Originally from Miami, Fl, I have over 12 years of experience, in the fitness industry. As owner of a Central Florida gym (Key life fitness) that services all ages, all levels, all goals, I enjoy coaching others to the “best version of themselves”. At our gym we offer circuit training, strength training, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, barre, booty bootcamp, Zumba, CPR classes and much more! We also offer online fitness services, as well as a women’s empowerment program and clothing line titled ‘I am Enough’.
I love to dance, laugh, and EAT! I believe that no matter what your dreams or obstacles, you have the power to change your life and, by doing so, you’ll change the world. Changing lives from the inside out is not only my passion but my purpose. My dream is to reach an unsurmountable amount of people, enabling them to create the best version of themselves.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I began this business in 2010 in Miami, and got married shortly after. Prior to marriage, the business grew substantially, then began to taper off shortly after the wedding. I then had to get a full-time job as an educator, and eventually moved to Central Florida. During this time, I put the business on hold. I dibbled and dabbled when work would allow, training others and working my passion. In 2016, I got a divorce and lost a lot. Yet again, I had to take a break! In 2019, I began again… working a full time job and building back the business one weekend at a time. In 2020, I had enough clientele to follow my passion, drive, and dream and go full time. This year (2022), we were able to open our first brick and mortar. Anything can stop you or push you, it’s your job to choose. Never give up!

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Great customer service. In this day, it’s a lost art form. Genuinely caring for others, communicating effectively, following up, and following through. Succeeding in my field calls for you to be a genuine person that cares about a person’s whole being, not just their wallet. The money will come, but how you treat people brings success.
