Opening a business is a risk. It could be the best or worse decision of your life. I started my business (Lacy May Boutique) the year after graduating high school and in the middle of covid. The future was unknown to everyone in the world and making the decision to start a business was one I hoped would be one of the best Id ever make. Today I still regard opening Lacy May Boutique as one of the best decisions I have ever made and I am hopeful that it will continue to grow into what I know it can be.

Hey There! My name is Brianna and I am the owner of Lacy May Boutique. Lacy May is an online women’s clothing and accessories boutique, specializing in modern and western styles. We are based in Sevier County, TN, and offer shipping and local pickup. My goal when opening Lacy May was to bring affordable boutique clothing and accessories to women everywhere.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I believe relationships with clients are fundamental in building a business. Having clients you love to talk to and work with can make all the difference in your business journey. If you struggle with building these relationships here are a few things you could try: run a sale, do a meet and greet, or host a class.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
You know that saying “the customer is always right”, that’s not always true. When I first started my business I believed that the only way my business would succeed was that I needed to make sure every client was happy. However, I’ve come to realize that some people you can’t please no matter how hard you try.
