We recently connected with Brandon Brooks and have shared our conversation below.
Brandon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you feel you or your work has ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized? If so, tell us the story and how/why it happened and if there are any interesting learnings or insights you took from the experience?
I am often misunderstood because my work is rooted in literature, depth, and long-form thinking, while society today is largely influenced by social media presence and quick consumption. I create work that asks people to slow down, read, and reflect, but we live in a culture that values immediacy over substance.
I do not always show up in ways that are loud, viral, or constantly visible online, so my impact is sometimes underestimated. I influence people internally before anything is visible externally. Reading changed my mindset, reshaped how I see the world, and helped me develop skills that transformed my life, and that is the same transformation I aim to offer others.
I am misunderstood because my work does not fit the current definition of influence. I prioritize transformation over performance and progress over popularity. While social media rewards attention, my work focuses on intention. While platforms encourage scrolling, I encourage stillness.
I have learned that not everyone will recognize value if it does not align with trends. I also know that lasting change does not require constant visibility, only depth, purpose, and consistency.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
14 Laws of Growth, 1008 Grams, and Feminine Energy are publications I created to help people reflect on their choices, build self-worth, and grow into the best version of themselves. Each book is designed to meet readers where they are in life, providing practical guidance for understanding their mindset, recognizing patterns in their decisions, and taking intentional steps toward personal and spiritual growth. I wanted to create resources that feel accessible yet transformative. These books equip readers with tools and strategies to make meaningful changes in their lives. They offer a clear roadmap for growth, helping individuals examine their past, establish consistent habits, and take deliberate actions that lead to long-term development.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of my work is the ability to show up as my authentic self. I have the freedom to share my experiences, insights, and values honestly, and in doing so, I can connect with others on a genuine level. When I write, create programs, or engage with my community, I am not trying to fit a mold or chase trends. I am simply offering what has worked in my life and what has helped me grow.
Being authentic allows me to guide others with transparency and integrity. I can share both successes and challenges, and that openness creates a space where people feel seen, understood, and inspired to reflect on their own journeys.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
A particular mission of mine is to help my children understand the challenges I have faced and see how I have persevered through life. My father passed away in his late 40s, and I didn’t have the opportunity to fully grasp the lessons he could have shared with me as an adult. That experience has made it deeply important for me to intentionally share my journey, the obstacles I’ve overcome, and the lessons I’ve learned so my children can learn from them. I want them to understand that growth takes reflection, discipline, and perseverance, and that mistakes and setbacks are part of the process.
