We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Boris Amado a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Boris, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I wrote a book about the unknown years of our good Lord Jesus.
In 2020-2025 it seemed that everybody was riding the red devil bandwagon, so I decided I would do the complete opposite of what the crowd was doing, which was ro write a book about the missing childhood of Jesus..
Warren Buffett once said that one should do the complete opposite of what everyone else is doing.., so I did.
I couldn’t be more proud of that book.
Boris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I began in the entertainment industry working in the tape vault for George Schlatter productions 1995-2000
George created Rowan and Martin’s laugh-In 1960s. We also did the American comedy awards and the American comedy Hall of Fame..
After leaving George Schlatter, I began writing and creating cartoon concepts with the artist Trew Love 2019-present.
We created concepts like, Rhyme and Reeson, Camille the Chameleon (children’s show) and The SophistiCats.
Working with Trew Love is super awesome because she’s like an art ninja. She can do anything with a pencil and a paintbrush..
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, my mission is to bring back entertainment to entertainment. Nowadays everybody has an angle or an agenda or trying to sell you something.
I’m just trying to bring plain old entertainment back.
Nothing else. Just fun and entertainment.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
What illustrates my resilience is that I believe that I am unstoppable. With the good Lord on my side and Jesus in my heart nothing can stop me. This is the way.
