We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Berry a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Berry , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
I remember when it was just an idea. Not even a full plan… just a feeling that I could do more with what I already had.
I was already doing photography, already doing makeup, already helping people look good. But one day it clicked… everybody doesn’t just need pictures. They need a brand. They need direction. They need strategy.
That was the moment Bomb Branding was born in my head.
But the next day didn’t look glamorous at all.
The next day looked like questions.
How do I turn this into an actual business
What do I even call it
What services am I really offering
How much do I charge
I had to sit down and define what I actually do. Not just “I take pictures,” but “I help businesses show up, stand out, and make money through visuals.”
Once I got clear on that, I started building.
I created my service list.
Content creation. Branding. Photography. Videography. Strategy.
Then I had to figure out pricing. That part took time. Testing, adjusting, realizing my value. I underpriced at first, not gonna lie. But I learned quick.
Then came the setup.
I made it official.
Got my business name together.
Started building my online presence.
Turned my personal page into a portfolio without losing my personality.
And then I did something that changed everything…
I used what I had.
I didn’t wait for the perfect studio, the perfect clients, or the perfect moment. I started shooting content with people around me. I created before-and-after transformations. I showed the process, not just the results.
That’s when people started paying attention.
Then came consistency.
Not just posting, but being intentional.
Studying what worked.
Testing different styles.
Learning how to make content that actually converts, not just looks good.
Month by month, I started refining everything.
My workflow.
My client experience.
My content days.
My packages.
I turned it into a system.
Clients don’t just come to me for pictures. They come for a full experience. Makeup, visuals, direction, execution. A one-stop shop.
And over time, Bomb Branding became known for results.
Not just “this looks nice”
But “this got me clients”
“This got me seen”
“This made me money”
And that’s when I knew… it wasn’t just an idea anymore.
It was a business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who may not know me, my name is Berry Nash. I am a content and brand strategist, media personality, and the owner of Bomb Branding Agency based in North Carolina. I have over 15 years of photography experience and 10 years in videography, and I specialize in helping people turn their ideas, businesses, and personalities into strong, profitable brands.
My journey into this industry did not start with branding as a title. It started with creativity. I was doing makeup, photography, and working with clients who simply wanted to look good for a moment. But over time, I realized something deeper. People were not just struggling with how they looked. They were struggling with how they showed up. They did not know how to present themselves, how to market themselves, or how to stand out in a crowded space.
That is when everything shifted for me.
I started paying attention to what actually made people stop scrolling, what made people book, and what made businesses grow. I combined my background in visuals with strategy, and that is how Bomb Branding was created. It was never just about photos or videos. It became about helping people communicate their value in a way that attracts attention and converts into real results.
At Bomb Branding, I offer a full range of services including content creation, photography, videography, brand strategy, social media management, and creative direction. I also provide full content days where clients can come in, get their makeup done, get styled, and leave with high quality visuals and videos that are ready to post and perform. I focus heavily on short form content, storytelling, and helping clients build a consistent presence online that actually brings in revenue.
The main problem I solve is visibility and direction.
A lot of people have great products or services but are not being seen, or they are posting without a strategy and wondering why they are not getting results. I help them bridge that gap. I show them how to position themselves, how to create content with intention, and how to turn their platforms into tools that generate income, not just likes.
What sets me apart is that I am not just creative, I am strategic and results driven. I am very direct with my clients because I care about their growth. I do not just hand over content and disappear. I guide them, push them out of their comfort zones, and teach them how to show up in a way that connects with their audience. I also offer a one stop experience where clients can get everything done in one place, which makes the process easier, faster, and more effective.
I am most proud of the impact I have had on the people I work with. Seeing my clients gain confidence, increase their visibility, and actually grow their businesses is what matters most to me. I have helped clients go from inconsistent posting to gaining thousands of views, attracting new clients, and building brands that feel aligned with who they are.
I also take pride in my journey. From running businesses like a spa, a retail store, and a selfie museum, to producing fashion shows, coaching youth, and now building a branding agency and media presence, everything I have done has been rooted in creativity and community. I am not just building a business for myself, I am creating opportunities and spaces for others to grow as well.
What I want potential clients, followers, and supporters to know is this
I am here to help you get seen and get paid for what you do.
This is not just about aesthetics. It is about strategy, confidence, and execution. If you are serious about your brand and ready to elevate how you show up, I am the person that will help you make that happen.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media was not something that happened overnight. It was very intentional, very experimental, and very real.
In the beginning, I was just posting my work. Photos, videos, makeup looks, client transformations. I thought that was enough. And for a while, it got a little attention, but not the kind of growth I knew I was capable of.
The shift happened when I stopped posting just to post and started studying.
I paid attention to what made people stop scrolling. What made people comment. What made people share. I realized quickly that people connect with people, not just pictures. So I started showing more of me. My personality, my thoughts, my humor, even my opinions.
That is when things started to change.
I leaned into storytelling. Instead of just posting a hairstyle or a photoshoot, I started explaining the process, talking about the client, sharing the transformation, or even adding a strong point of view. I made my content feel like a conversation instead of a gallery.
Then I started testing content styles.
I did educational posts.
I did funny, relatable skits.
I did behind the scenes.
I did direct to camera talking videos.
Some things flopped. Some things went crazy. But I paid attention to both.
One of the biggest turning points for me was consistency with intention. Not just posting every day, but posting with a purpose. Every piece of content had to do something. Either educate, entertain, or convert.
I also learned how to hook people fast. You only have a few seconds to grab attention, so I started being more direct. Strong openings, bold statements, clear messaging.
Another thing that helped me grow was not trying to be perfect. I posted anyway. Even when I overthought it, even when I felt like it was not my best, I stayed consistent.
Over time, my audience grew because people knew what to expect from me. They knew I was going to be real, informative, and sometimes a little bold. That consistency built trust, and that trust turned into engagement, clients, and opportunities.
For anyone just starting to build their social media presence, my advice is simple but real.
First, stop waiting to be perfect. Start with what you have. Your phone is enough. Your idea is enough.
Second, be clear about what you want to be known for. If someone lands on your page, they should immediately understand what you do and who you help.
Third, focus on value. Ask yourself what someone is gaining from your content. Are they learning something, feeling something, or being inspired to take action.
Fourth, learn your audience. Pay attention to what they respond to. Social media will tell you what works if you are paying attention.
Fifth, be consistent. Not just for a week or two. Stay consistent long enough to actually see results.
And lastly, do not be afraid to show yourself. People do business with people they feel connected to. Your personality is your advantage.
At the end of the day, building an audience is not just about numbers. It is about building a community that trusts you, listens to you, and is ready to move when you speak.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One story that really shows my resilience is a season where everything looked like it should have been working, but it wasn’t moving the way I needed it to.
I was creating, I had the skills, I had the experience, and I knew I could deliver. But I was not seeing the level of clients or consistency that matched what I knew I was capable of. It felt like I was doing everything right, but not getting the return.
That is a frustrating place to be.
I had a choice in that moment. I could either sit in it and start doubting myself, or I could get real and figure out what was missing.
So I stepped back and evaluated everything.
Not emotionally, but strategically.
I looked at my content and realized I was posting good work, but I was not speaking. I was not connecting. I was not showing people why it mattered or how it could help them. I was relying on visuals alone and expecting them to convert.
That was the problem.
So I made a shift.
I started getting in front of the camera. I started talking directly to my audience. I started breaking down what I do, how I do it, and why it works. I added personality, humor, and real conversations to my content.
At first, it felt uncomfortable. It was different from what I was used to. Not every video performed well. Some barely moved. But I stayed consistent.
Then things started to change.
Views went up. Engagement went up. People started reaching out, not just complimenting the work, but asking how they could work with me. Clients started coming in more consistently because now they understood the value.
That moment taught me something important.
Sometimes it is not that you are not good enough. It is that you have not adjusted yet.
Resilience for me looked like being honest with myself, making the shift, and staying consistent even when it did not immediately pay off.
Another layer to that resilience is that I have built and rebuilt multiple times. From running a spa, to a retail store, to a selfie museum, to now a branding agency and media platform. Not everything lasted forever, but everything taught me something. I never looked at those transitions as failures. I looked at them as upgrades.
Every time something changed, I adapted. I took what worked, left what did not, and kept moving.
That is what I want people to understand.
Resilience is not just about surviving hard moments. It is about adjusting, learning, and continuing to move forward with intention.
And that is exactly how I built Bomb Branding into what it is today.
